Multiple choice column coming up as string in SP list

I am updating a SP list having multiple choice field- the output is coming up as this below after getting outputs from child flow.

The values were first inputted in SP list itself but since i am trying to update the value of one column "Approval Status" after approvals email using flow- i need to forcefully update all the mandatory fields in SP list using the dynamic content.

And now- my multiple choice columns are appearing as strings as shown below.

Your column is multiple choice filed and you want to update that column with multiple values. Previously i thought that you want to update multiple choices in a column.

Your value format should be like this then you will get required output-

[
{
"Value": "Country"
},
{
"Value": "Not Applicable"
},
]

 To get this output from array use one select action and use Key and Value in expression- item()

Supply your select output in update action.

Thanks

@sudharsan1985 Thank you.

However, the output is still the same.

The steps i am following now are these per your recommendation:

GauravG_1-1602322052964.png

I am using a child flow with HTTP trigger i have 4 multiple choice columns which may increase later on- so don't want to lengthen the flow and hence using child flow to avoid repetition.

The reason for this you have used array variable and array variable output is in that format. you can use one more compose action and convert array variable into string and then manipulate your string.

Steps- initialize another string variable

and loop all values with append to string with separation by comma

you will get you values separated by comma.

Thanks

@Hardesh15 Thanks for responding. I tried with String & Append to String Variable after removing the array thing

Now- my output looks like-

GauravG_0-1602343898362.png

My child flow is looking like:-

GauravG_1-1602343938208.png

Kindly help resolve this so that i can have values like other rows above in separate cells

@Anonymous

Use this in compose action-

replace(replace(outputs('Compose'),'"Value":',''),';',' ')
Output-

Edit-
i have included space in outer replace() if your string already have space then remove space.
Here in red-
  replace(replace(outputs('Compose'),'"Value":',''),';','space')
Thanks

@Hardesh15 It did work as you showed but it's still not how i want it to come

GauravG_0-1602345408771.png

It should automatically come as 2 separate values in 2 colors as shown above bu instead it's coming out as a string.

Am thinking may be the array approach would work to make it come as separate values in multiple choice multiple values answer.

Here's how the child flow looks now-

GauravG_1-1602345519454.png

Sudershan shared this link for array approach- but it did not work for my child flow - https://spknowledge.com/2020/09/04/update-multichoice-field-using-power-automate/

Please help!

Here you are putting single value in column that is why it is not formatting it.  I think you can not achieve this reason you can update only one value at a time. if you are appending it it will consider appending value as single value

Thanks

@sudharsan1985 It was not working for me earlier because i was editing my old flow which worked based off inputs from MS forms. This new solution however, gets inputs from SP list itself so i built my flow again from scratch following- https://spknowledge.com/2020/09/04/update-multichoice-field-using-power-automate/

because i could not find the error while editing my old flow-

To others who are looking for help- use the append to array variable (not string) as suggested in the link- it will work

Later, i realized the reason it did not work was that in the link i did not follow the highlighted step for T (text)-

Since you are using the ID of the item you are updating, I assume you have done the equivalent of a get item.  If so you have access to the multiselect field you are updating.  To get it into the proper format to resubmit it you can use a Select action to pull the existing Values out of the field and create a new array.  Like the flow below does for a Status field.
