Need help with setting up a onetime manual automate flow and then a reoccurring one to use going forward.

Currently I have a flow that is initiated by a form submission that pulls the response data from the form submission and creates a new item in a Share Point list. The form submission allows me to capture the users email automatically however it does not put out the user's name from the directory like it does if I manually export the form results from Forms its self.

I have over 1200 rows that I would like to create a manual flow to run and pull their email from one column and insert their name from the directory in another column.

Once my existing data is updated, I would then like to automate this that this happens when a new list item is created by my form submission so it is done all at once or done automatically. I have tried doing a manual trigger flow , get items and apply to each but I keep getting errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@sakonn have you tried using the Office 365 Users get user profile (v2) action? It can get the given name and the surname of the responder from the responder's email address from the form or the SharePoint list.

What input are you using for the get user profile (v2)? It needs to be whatever column you have saved the email address into from the form. You can always check it by adding a Compose action.

So add a Compose action underneath the get user profile action and in the inout field select Mail from the get usre profile (v2) section of the dynamic content box. Then run your flow and it will show if you have picked up the address correctly.

I added that and test ran it, it looks like it worked

What is the next step to get it to import that to each row in the list now?

Do I add that as an action under Get User Profile similar to doing the compose? Or do I add it as an action after the get user profile ? Thanks!

Just add it after the Compose action.

It shows it ran successfully however it is blank when I go into the share point list?

In the results of the flow check that the name is in the Compose action and assuming it is use the outputs of the Compose in the appropriate field in the Update item action.

It seems like it is only updating 100 records when I look in at it

Yes, 100 is the default. You need to go into the settings for the action (the 3 dota at the top right of the action), click the pagination toggle and set the threshold to more than the number of items in your list.
