Need to take a file in a file system folder and rename the file in place

In one of my flows I took an email and extracted the file attachment and saved it to a local folder on a server.  In about 3 hours a process will import the data from the file and now in about 2 hours later I need to rename the file in the local folder on the server with the same name but with the date and time behind it.  I looked in the File system actions but there isn't a File rename.  just a file create, file Copy etc. 

Any ideas?

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

I have made a test on my side, there is a "Update file" action of "File system" connector, however, the  "Update file" action couldn't update the file name.

You could refer to steps below to achieve your needs:

1.Add a "Get file Content" action to get the file content firstly;

2.Add a "Create file" action to create a new file with the same name and with the date and time behind it;

3.Add a "delete file" action to delete the original file.

Please let me know if the workaround helps.

Have your flow run successfully to create the files?

I'm getting closer.  It copies the folders and all the files in the main folder to the backup folder where I only need the mt20.csv file copied and I need it to include the date and time after it which I believe I have the date compsed but can't figure out how to get it added to the file.

How do I take a value like Name from File System not text and split off the name and extension.  I was trying to use substring like substring(Name,1,4) but it says not valid.  Name is the Dynamic Content from the previous section (compose 3).

Hi @ MichaelRobey,

Do you want to copy the file which's name is equal to "MT20.csv" to a path,and rename the file to "MT20yyyyMM.csv" ?

Please refer ro screenshot below to create the flow:

The expression in the Compose as below:

concat('MT20',utcNow('yyyyMM'),'.csv')
