Hello everyone,
I have a quite big flow that gets all MS365 groups which name begins with "Project1-" :
and for each group, I get their Planner plans (name begins with "Project1 Plan-") and set several variables to get Countries etc...
For each task in these plans, I then proceed to set other variables, do some data composing and add a row in Excel,
At the end of each "Apply to each" control, I reset the variables, so the following task or group can use and replace it.
And then, I call a Power BI dataset refresh (outside of the For each group control)
This is okay, I got the main part running, and my two big "Apply to each" controls have "Concurrency control" to off, because of the variables.
I have been testing on 4 groups, and they have 50 to 125 tasks.
My flows proceeds the two first groups in 10min each (they have an average of 50 tasks ). Fine.
Then, for the two last groups (which have an average of 106 tasks), it takes 30 min each. Why not ?
Except that ... those are only my tests.
When I'll be on production, the flow will get 150 groups with each having between 50 and 150 tasks. At maximum, the flow will take 75 hours (3 days approx) to finish, which is inside the 30 days run duration limit (Limits of automated, scheduled, and instant flows - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn), but I would like to know : how could I optimize this flow ?
Even using Child and Parent flows, I'm not sure it will decrease the duration (and for now, I do not have the right to create/use solutions).
Do you have any idea how I could optimize and lessen the flow's run duration please ?
I know I always go first to the complicated solution rather than a simpler one, so maybe here that's the case and i missed a simpler one.

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge! This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks. The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods. You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately. How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can.
