Outlook Flag Email trigger reruns on items it already ran on

I have a basic trigger "When an email is flagged"

This fires awesomely throughout the day, creating new tasks in Wunderlist for me. Then when I get up in the morning, everything is in there like 2 or 3 more times! Now I have copies in Wunderlist.

Hi DavidLozzi,

I create a similar flow to create a Wunderlist task when an email is flagged.

Then I flag emails to run the flow, seems that the flow won't run 2 or 3 times for each trigger.

Is this the first time this flow run duplicate times on your side? Please provide your Flow ID for a further investigation.

It always seems to run much later, not immediately after it runs. As I showed above it ran at midnight, I wasn't awake to flag emails at midnight. I just got the alert (at the end of the flow it alerts me it ran) on an email I flagged days ago HOWEVER I just replied to the email. It might be triggering anytime the email is modified as well, so if it's flagged and touched by me it runs. Doesn't explain at midnight unless there's some process running by MSFT/O365?

I could try to modify the email somehow to indicate it's been triggered already, I don't want to remove the flag so will have to find some other attribute to check.

How do I get the flow id?

Doesn't look like there is an Update Email action to use..... crud....

I have reproduced this issue on my side. I did nothing on this flow during the weekend, while this morning, I found that the flow ran duplicate times and duplicate tasks were created in my Wunderlist.

You could get your Flow URL when Editing the flow. It might be something looks like below:

As you mentioned, there is no Update Email action currently, please consider to create a request at Flow Ideas Forum, PGs will check this forum and consider your idea in the future releases. I will also collect and report it on my side.

I am now looking at a way of storing the fact that this email was processed, then query to check to see if it ran once before, if so, don't create the task. I was hoping to use an Excel action to read from and write to, but this is quite limited, I don't see the option. Can you think of another way of doing this so I don't get so many repeats?

Please provide your Flow URL for a further investigation. I am trying to involve someone who is familiar with this issue to have a look into it.

Does the flow repeat only for one midnight or every midnight on your side?

I am seeing this same issue of this flagged email trigger runing multiple times randomly, reprocessing existing flags and generally not behaving properly.
