Populating a word template - ERROR: Failed to retrieve dynamic inputs. Error details: 'e.toLowerCase is not a function'

I have built a flow, triggered when a form is submitted. It then reads data from an excel table. I want it to take data from the table and form to populate into a word template.

I have tried the flow WITHOUT the word template, and just using the dynamic data to send an email, and it all works fine.

When trying to populate the word template, I created a blank page with literally just the placeholders on it e.g. <<name>> which is the same as my dynamic data from Forms and Excel.

Everytime, I get the same error code - "Failed to retrieve dynamic inputs. Error details: 'e.toLowerCase is not a function'". I've googled every solution and chatted it through with ChatGPT. Connections are working fine, I can find my template, I've created a brand new template with only placeholders, even tried curly brackets. Can't get this final step to work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @NickJayRay

Where you using this expression?

toLowerCase ()

Could you post a screenshot of your template and mappings and the error details?

Thanks

Hello @abm ,

I'm getting the same error only I didn't use the code you reference.  It's a simple form that I want to import to Sharepoint List and I get that error.  Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you,

Hi @JTBright

Hello abm,

I did as instructed, got a slightly different error message:

JTBright_0-1717673993944.png

Hello abm,

This was obviously a case of user error.  I started from scratch used your instructions and have successfully been able to save my workflow.  Thanks so much!

Now that the flow was successful, I need to add some of the questions to the output.  How do I do that?  I am using the Copilot to "Add items to Create Item" and leave it auto-populated.  Here is the result:

To be transparent.  The activity I am trying to complete is taking an MS Form, uploading it to list, and sending an email.

This is the example I was following but obviously ran into issues as it maybe a little out of date in some places:

Thank you,

Here we are.  I used the template and it works as I said before.  But there are no fields just the id number...I'm trying to add in the fields from the Sharepoint List seen here as "Request Form Output"

Hi @JTBright

That Get Response Details step should be outside the loop.

I agree, here is my flow:

JTBright_0-1717695332260.png

I'm having those problems in the Create Item step.  The previous two steps worked fine.  I need to add the fields from the response form to the Sharepoint list this creates.

Could you please explain what the issue is? What error you are getting? What data you mapping to SharePoint?

The issue is I get a notification from MS Forms, but it contains none of the details.  Just the ID Number.

I've share the errors above, but here it is again.  I don't get any details.

The data being mapped to Sharepoint is only the ID Number...I want more fields from the form sent to Sharepoint list.

Hope that helps,
