is there any way that power automate can check if, for example, my company's intranet is down or any other webpage for that matter and send an alert?
FYI I AM A COMPLETE NEWBIE TO POWER AUTOMATE
Thanks

@Anonymous Refer below design of Power Automate Desktop flow... I am launching browser and then checking if output contains a particular text 'ACN'. If not, its down else its up. You can use your application URL...
@gordonrettie - Did you get chance to review this solution?
You can do this using Power Automate Desktop... If you have Windows 10, it's free.
If you have an API that checks this info,
You can make a http call or you can have a custom connector to check this info : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/custom-connectors/ or make
or PowerAutomate Desktop should also be another valid option.
Thanks and Regards,

Hello @Anonymous
There's a free Power Automate template that gets the status of a website and sends it by email. Have a look: Get the status of a website on email | Microsoft Power Automate
If the status code is different than 200 there might be a problem.
Hope it helps!
Ferran
so what would you fill in here?
how would you do that?
As I am a complete newbie at this and MS say no need for coding but it's not as straight forward as they make out
Hello @Anonymous
If you are only requesting if a website is down or not, you don't need to fill those parameters. I've done a test on my side, only specifying the URI:
If you were requesting a REST service that needed authentication, for example, then you should fill the fields properly.
Hope it helps!

@fchopo - HTTP call won't work because he is interested in monitoring the Intranet which is not exposed over the internet. HTTP action does not support On-Premise Gateway I think and that is why I proposed Power Automate Desktop.
how would you do the pad? not alot of info on this atm
Hi @Anonymous
Were you able to solve this question? Unfortunately I'm not an expert on Power Automate Desktop so I can't help you. Maybe @PrasadAthalye can provide more guidance on this.
Regards,
Ferran
Hi @PrasadAthalye, but he can place https://192.168.1.100 instead of https://www.intranet.local, correct?

@VictorIvanidze - Unfortunately not. There is no connectivity to on-premise IP from over the internet. It will not be resolved. The only way to establish such connectivity is via an On-Premise Gateway. However, HTTP Action does not work with this gateway.
@Anonymous
With Power Automate desktop, you can create a new UI flow. Click the website and capture the outcome. Then check the condition and see if any text matches the output from the web app. If yes, the Site is Up else it's down. Unfortunately, I can not show this with pictures as I do not have admin rights to install it on the machine. I am going to try installing it on my another machine and at that moment will be able to upload some pictures. Meanwhile, Please refer video on PA Desktop by @RezaDorrani https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z19CAWq1tK8

Nice solution.
I try a different way simpler using HTTP get Trigger + Conditionals but i accept new tips =D
Hi - Thanks for this details.
However I found that the return code doesnt work when the URL is down. I am getting NameResolutionFailure when I try this.
My business case is simple, I am trying to create synthetic monitor for my URL. It should message me everytime my URL goes down.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
