I have 2 excel files and from one excel I have to take skill and id columns as input and in a loop way for all the skills check if they are in the second file and if they are then write them in another excel, here how to loop it whole column ? and searchin another ?

Hi,

There are a few ways, I'll explain one based on what you said. But I would like to ask, are these large files or small files? Where do these files come from are they dropped into a SharePoint or OneDrive regularly/

I can create a sample tomorrow if you can share what the excel files look like please. The steps I can write up but it depends on some of the answers.

1. Trigger to start the flow

2. If the files do not have Excel Tables based on the data, you would need to us the Create Table, Excel Connector action to create them

3. For the file with the ID and skill you would then use the List rows present in a table, Excel connector action to list all the rows in that table

4. You then use an Apply to each (loop), to loop through all the excel rows. 

5. You would then create another List rows present in a Table, Excel query action, but this time you point to the other excel file AND you would set the Filter property so something like SecondFileSkill = CurrentLoopSkillValue. Of course it is a specific syntax but that is the gist.

6. if the SECOND List rows action finds a row in the 2nd file, then you know it exists and that you want to put it in the 3rd file.

7. You now need to use the Add Row to Table, Excel Action to write that data from #6 to the 3rd file that also needs to have a table in it

Pretty much thats it.

Do you want to put the values in Table1 but not in Table2 into Table2?

First you need two tables and columns to store data.

what I want is if table1 contains skills a, b, c   and table 2 contains skills like a,a,c,b,c,b like this now what I want is loop skills in table1 and see if matches with table2 like a skill throughout  out put should be a,a,b,b,c
