Here is part of the flow I am trying to create based on a SharePoint list.
- A user creates a PO request then An approval would be sent to the head of the department based on the username of the creator. Note: My company has multiple departments.
Just wondering if we can make this happen instead of creating a field called supervisor and relay on the end-user input.

It depends on how you have your user structure set up. It should be possible but this would require a lot of testing and playing around in the program. Depending on how many users will be using this flow you could also just hard code if x user runs this it will go to y department. But this will require some playing around in. If you get stuck you can also always create a case with Microsoft Support. I'll include a link below; if you would like to go down that path.

@rafaelbenicio what we do in our company is to have a separate SharePoint list with 2 columns: the name of the department and the approver's email. For any department there could be 1, 2 or more approvers.
The user enters their department in the PO request (submitted via Forms) as we don't have their department stored in Office 365. The flow gets the items from the approvers list with a filter query of the department and stores the approvers' email addresses in a variable. A Switch control then looks at the Department they've entered and there is a Case for each department and inside that is the start and wait for an approval action and any other action like email the submitter.

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge! This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks. The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods. You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately. How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
