Retrieve the result of several parallelized desktop streams with a "for each" action

Hello Power Automate Community,

I have created a cloud flow with multiple desktop flows in parallel.

My goal is to retrieve an output variable from each desktop stream to add to a dataverse table.

I was able to do this by defining actions below each desktop flow.

The problem is that I have a very large number of machines that I need to add, making it very high maintenance.

Would it be possible in your opinion to define a single action underneath all of my parallelized desktop flows, such as "for each", to retrieve all of the output variables and loop them into my table, in order to reduce maintenance workload?

If you only need a single value from each, then you can use the Append to array variable action after each. Then run an Apply to each off that variable array.

If you need multiple values, then you may want to try using some kind of Union expression on the outputs or creating JSON bodies in the Append to array variable action with all the values you need in the JSON.

I'm not really an expert but would it be possible to give me an example for my use case? I'm a little bit lost with variables (initiate, compose, etc.)

For example, if you just needed the Computer Name for each one, then you would put an Initialize variable at the start of the flow & set it to an array variable.

Then after each UI flow action in the parallel branches, you would add an Append to array variable action & just put in the Computer Name dynamic content for that branch.

Then later in the flow after recombining branches, you would pull up the Apply to each loop & put the dynamic content for the Array variable in the Select an output from previous step field. Then you could call on the Computer Name in the loop with the Current Item dynamic content.

I would just like to find a way to not do any configuration on each branch, and only run my desktop flows on each branch. and do the configuration once to get any output variables from my desktop flows to add them to a dataverse table.

The idea is to get only per branche an action "Run a flow with power automate desktop" and gather all the Computer name outputs variables once.

I'm not sure this is something that we can do..

That’s kind of an oddly specific requirement.

You can try putting your Desktop flow actions all into an Apply to each loop with any differing values prepared in the loop array.

Then use this method to get an array of desktop flow output arrays back.

That seems a bit more complicated, but I don’t know the reasons behind that request or requirement.
