I've created two flows that check my inbox for emails with a particular subject line (Office365), then send a Twilo msg.
The first works just fine, but the second never triggers. Both use the same 'Connection' and simply have a different keyword.
Looks like once you've triggered a flow for an event like receiving email you stop looking for other flows that could be triggered by this event.
David -- having two different flows that check the same inbox should not have an impact on one another (just double checked on my personal account). That is, the two flows should not interfere with one another and both should be able to trigger.
Is one of the flows deleting / moving the original email that was received? If so, it is possible that the other flow did not "see" the new email before the other flow moved it out of the inbox.
If that is not the case, could you please share the flow id(s)?
We can look in the logs to see if anything else is going on. You can get this from the browser URL when you are looking at its definition. As an example, it will look like this: https://flow.microsoft.com/manage/flows/ca1ae68b-6381-4dcf-bcb6-df06c0fabb5b
Hi Clamanna,
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
The two flows are looking for different keywords in the subject line and there are two separeate emails, so 'no' the triggering of the first flow should effect the second as they are looking for different emails.
What is intereseting is that the second flow doesn't run at all, so there are no logs at all. The first flow is triggering and I can see if it succeeds or fails.
BTW: the link you provided in your response gives this error when I follow it:
The caller with object id '7cae2f2e-0cf1-44b1-abb6-2e689d5db0fb' does not have permission to connection 'ca1ae68b-6381-4dcf-bcb6-df06c0fabb5b' under Api 'shared_logicflows'.
I'll try to share my flows with you now.
Hi Clamanna,
Further investigation - I can see at least one failuer of my second flow and the 'On Email' action is giving the following error:
Error
Code
BadRequest
Message
Http request failed: the timeout was reached.
Which is odd since I only have one email connection registered.
Sorry for the confusion David -- the link I shared was to one of my example flows (so you shouldn't have access).
Could you please share the URL from your browser when you are looking at the failing / not working Flow? (the link should look similar to the URL I shared, but with a different id / name) You can also just e-mail me a picture of your screen (chlama@microsoft.com) and I can extract the right value.
We will use that information to search our logs to see what is causing the Bad Request you are seeing.
Hi Clamanna,
Just tried deleting the second flow and rebuilding it and now both flows work as expected.
Not sure what the problem was, but thankyou for helping.
Cheers,
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for letting us know. Hope you are enjoying the product.
hey , i am having the same issue, i created a workflow that sends an email to me when an item is added in a list, and its failing to load or anything...
and when i checked the debug, it had this error :
The caller with object id '13ab47b2-abed-42f6-a6c5-daebca493b69' does not have permission to connection 'a5503d6f-151f-46c2-aba2-e742fb1ff2bf' under Api 'shared_logicflows'.
i cant seem to understand this issue, as i believe i do have connection permission and all my connections are set up and ready.
can you please elaborate, i am a sharepoint developer in an IT company and im testing this product flow, to see if i can use it and recommend it to customers.
the first ever problem is this, above.
can you please give me in conclusion about what needs to be set up and how, before a user can use this product to the fullest ??
- my profile is created and logged in.
- connections are set and connected to "office users, office outlook, sharepoint etc "
- i checked my office account and flow was in the permissions
since its still new, i hardly find any videos about it on youtube and stuff.
regards,
jad.
