Send Email base on a Due Date coulmn in sharePoint? Help

Hi Ive been at this for hours and can,t get it to work i just sent myself 2400 emails in one hit here what im trying to do.

  • Ive made a power app that keep track of item within the First aid kit so you don't have to take every item out to check the use-by dates.
  • You can update a SharePoint list within the app if a new item is added.
  • Im now try to make a flow that checks the SharePoint item to see if any are close to "14 days" or out of date and send a email.
  • Ive been at it for the last 6 hours and just sent myself 2400 emails.
  • before it just send a email for every item that was out of date.
  • So is there anyone that can help me you have to Dumb it down as im new to this.
  • i have done this with excel many years a go.

A guide or video would help but i think Ive watch 30 or more today im off to bed so if i don't respond straight away do worry.

THANKs

Hi @David1966

Remove the Apply to Each action step. Add Create Table Action step. See below.

This will create the HTML table with all the fields.

If you want certain fields then do the custom one. See below I want Title and Description. Expression I used below are:

item()?['Title]

item()?['Description']

Finally you can map this output to your email.

Thanks

Hi @David1966 ,

Do you want to filter items out of date and send an email to each of them?

Could you please provide more details?

1/What are the types of your columns?

2/Where do you get the send email address? Column in SP list?

3/Does the difference between the created date and current date be 14 days?

I believe more details will be helpful for community members to understand what you need.

Best regards,

Rimmon

Hi @David1966

Try the below:

The expression I used under compose 2 is:

formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),14),'yyyy-MM-dd')

Above ExpriyDate is a DateTime field column

Thanks
