Send e-mail v2 shows numbered dates

Hi,

Ok... so i'm usually the type of guy that tries every single solution on the internet to try and solve something but this one i simply cannot figure out. I have managed to set up a flow that reads from an excel table. All it does is it sends an e-mail as soon as the date will come up 3 days from now. everything is setup and is working. however...

In the e-mail i'm using all sorts of columns in the excel table to create dynamic content. In this case, the e-mail is supposed to represent what the person who handles the excel file has filled in. So if that person filled in ''name1 starts on februari second at 14:00'' The email would state that.

However all dates that it takes from excel are numbered. and i'm a total noob when it comes to this stuff. Pretty much every solution has been so extremely convoluted to the point that the flow doesn't work anymore. Please tell me what to do because i've given up... I don't want to alter anything to my flow because it works, all i want do do is change the numbers in the email it sends.

- adding ISO 86something causes the flow to stop working...

- i've tried countless times to follow solutions by adding ''initialyze here'' and ''compose there'''but all of them fail to specify not only where in my flow i should be adding them or what kind of formula/data/button/type i should be using... if at all...

Please help!

PS: the picture may look horrible to an expert but everything is working so far... except the dates...

As an added note:

I've tried formatting the cells from wich the flow reads to everything from date to general to custom but it keeps showing the number. I just don't understand why it can simply ''copy-paste'' any tekst, number or e-mail adress but as soon as you try to copy a date... it shows a number...

I've also tried to ''html'' my way through it but any reference i make in the email body either gets ignored or is mistaken by normal tekst.

In your list rows in a table action you must open the advanced options and in the DateTime format field select ISO8601. If you don't then it brings back the date as an integer as you've experienced.

Thanks for the quick reply! I've tried to do that but then it stops actually sending the e-mail giving me the ''branching something'' error. When i remove the ISO8601 everything works and it sends the e-mail when it's supposed to.

It's only the actual tekst inside the body of the e-mail that i need to display the actual date like it shows inside the excel file.

If you get the branching error it means a condition has not been satisfied, so you've got some other problem than the ISO8601 issue.

But it works perfectly without that iso8601, that's whats so confusing...

It seems i may have found an alternative solution at last. perhaps i can help someone else struggeling with this. Ive modified the cell i used to gather the date from to another cell in general tekst using the formula: =TEXT("cell'';"dddd dd MMMM"). Replacing cell with the cell containing the date. Now it simply copies the tekst it generates in the other cell wich is what i wanted it to do all along...

Man oh man... the trouble for one little line of tekst 😉
