Send email to unique email with unique email subject

Hi,

I have a flow where I will send an email to the specific person their task, in the "send email (v2)" I wanted to put a unique subject too based on the task they will received. In my SharePoint list I have a column for task subject.

I already know to send emails to unique emails but the subject thing, I'm having a hard time.

Thank you.

Hi @lisharei

Not need to feel sorry, these things are normal 🙂

Pls call send an email action inside 'Apply to each' loop and set the task name in the subject line. In the below example, I am storing the task name in Title field, pls modify the field name as per your setup.

Hi @lisharei

You can put a generic email subject, lets say "Task assigned" and then within email body you can share all the tasks in a tabular format using "Create HTML table" action that will take array of tasks as input and will output the data as a table.

Pls let me know if you face any problem.

Hi @ManishSolanki

Thank you for replying however,

I have a SharePoint List. The names and email are already there, I need a flow that will automatically get the information in the list and then send an email to them.

And this is what I really want

Hi @lisharei

If you are sending email in Apply to each loop, you can put the task name in the email subject from the SharePoint item.

Are you are looking to send an email that displays the consolidates list of tasks to each user? or You want to send a separate email for each task to each assignee with specific task name in subject line. I am still unclear on your requirements and writing back to understand the exact ask so that I can help you in solutioning.

Thanks & Best Regards

Thanks

Hi @ManishSolanki

I'm sorry if my requirement is not clear.

I want to send a separate email for each assignee of their task with specific task name in subject line.

Hi @ManishSolanki

Can I ask another question?

My Task Type and Status is a drop down menu, when I include it to my table this is what's happening

lisharei_0-1685343932768.png

Do you know how to resolve this? Thank you!

Hi @lisharei

You need to extract only the Value part of the field as shown below:

ManishSolanki_0-1685348722158.png

here, 'Task Type' & 'Status' are drop down fields and we have called 'Task Type Value' & 'Status Value' to get the value of those fields.

If this helps, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

Hi,

Another problem,

lisharei_0-1685351012444.png

This one, it works but it's not sending to a certain assignee. I need to send their specific task without sending the other assignee's task.

Hi @lisharei

I would request you to share the fields and their types that are being used in SharePoint list.

Thanks

Thanks
