Sharepoint folder overview to excel

Hi,

I'm trying to create a flow, where I can map out a folder structure from a Sharepoint site in Excel. So I would like to end up with a table in Excel with an overview of a Sharepoint with folders and documents in those folders. I'm new to making flows so I don't know if this is even possible, but I figured that some of you might be able to help me out.

Let me know if it is not clear what I'm trying to do and I can try and explain it in a different way.

Best,

Majken

Hi @YDRDK,

The View field should input the view ID, you could find the view ID via these steps:

SharePoint list setting-> select a view->edit view->find it in the address bar:

Screenshot 2021-01-08 172704.jpg

Then you should use uriComponentToString () function convert it to a string:

Hi @YDRDK,

It is possible, you could following these steps to approach it:

1. Use Get items action could get all items in the library, including folders and files. When you select the list name you couldn't found it, so you should enter a custom value into it. (Top count should set to 5000)

2. Use Apply to each + Add a row into a table action could put these paths into an Excel table:

Hi @v-litu-msft

Thank you for your response. This is somewhat what I have tried so far, so I am thinking that my thought are right.

When I do as you write it fails because the list is not found in the list name. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I try to type a name into the field, but I don't think that there is a list name on the Sharepoint, so I type in something random that I would like it to be named. Is that wrong?

My "add a row in a table" looks a little bit different than yours. The fields "row", "level 1", "level 2" ect. comes from my table in the excel document.

Is this something you think you know how to fix?

Hi @YDRDK,

The list name should be the library name. Because the Get items action is extract items from a SharePoint list,so you couldn't find the library name. We should enter it manually, but not a random value. For example,

Screenshot 2021-01-07 162121.jpg

If you want to separate the folder path to levels, I am afraid that it is impossible, the final output of my solution as below:Screenshot 2021-01-07 162648.jpg

@v-litu-msft thank you for your reply.

At the moment our Sharepoint is not set up as a list structure. If we change it into a list structure, do you know if there is someway else to do it?

But I guess that the second column is the column path, right? Can we get other metadata out, such as modified on xxx, by who and the like?

Majken

Hi @YDRDK,

If it is changed to list structure, the same way could do to export it to Excel table.

The second column is full path of folders and files, you could also get other metadata as you like.

Hi @v-litu-msft,

I'm sorry for all my questions. We have now changed the Sharepoint to list view, however I still do not get any options in the List name field. If I need to write something myself I need to know what to write - which info from the Sharepoint Site is the info to enter into the field?

Majken
