Hi,
Can anyone help me, I have encountered error says "The power flow's logic app flow template was invalid. The template actions 'DMG_Verification_Approved_Status' are nested at level '9' which exceeds the maximum nesting limit of '8'."
Is there a way to exceed maximum nesting limit of 8???
I have 6 layers of approvals. But when I saved my flow with 4 levels, I encountered this error.

HI @v-duann-msft ,
thanks for responding. I have almost the same flow the reason why I encountered max limit for nesting is that everytime I have a layer of approval, i need to update the item which corresponds to the fields based on the approval layer.
Say, approval 1 has approval 1 status column/field in sharepoint, same goes to the other layers up to 6th layer.
I just figure out how to simplify the flow and avoid nesting statement, I tried to create a string variables for all layers of approver emails and its completion date to avoid capturing the data directly from start and wait approval of each layer which causes error in limitation.
Hi @jaina
Thank you for posting.
According to your description, you would like to create multi levels approval but now encountered approval nesting limitation. If any misunderstanding, please kindly let me know.
Certainly, if you can simply have multiple approvers in one approver, using the option to send the approvals out one at a time, that's the best option. But, to avoid nesting, instead of putting approval 2 in the condition following approval 1, put a terminate in the condition, which means that the next approval will run if the flow wasn't terminated.
So:
The above sequence can be repeated with no additional nesting levels.
Per my test, this would not cause any nesting problems. Here is my template for you:
Hope the content above may help you.
Best regards,
Anna

Hi jaina:
I met same error as "items are nested at level '9' which exceeds the maximum nesting limit of '8'."
Would you please tell me your solution in details?
If you post flow picture, it is best for me.
Thank you very much in advance:)
Hi Jaina,
im looking for the same solution can you help me.
I have 4 approvers and after each approver I need to update my sharepoint list with comments and but when i come 4th approve i have error that limit exceeds for nested ...
Hello @Akthar416,
I add action: Initialize String Variables for all layers of approver emails and its completion date.
Example: Initialize Variable for Approver1_Email, Approver1_CompletionDate, Approver1_Comment, Approver2_Email, Approver2_CompletionDate, Approver2_Comment.. and then, After approval action has been performed under condition, YES, you will append the String Variables Approver1_Email, Approver1_CompletionDate, Approver1_Comment... and so for the next update item in, you will just capture the variables instead of getting the data from the approval action (such as email, comment, completion date and so on).
Hi @jaina ,
Thank you so much for the solution it worked perfectly for me as per your suggestion.
Really appreciate your efforts in helping others.
Hi! May you share screenshots of this before tuesday of next week please?
Hi! May you share screenshots of this before tuesday of next week please?
Hi! Thank you for this! Would you mind showing how you are capturing the data via screenshots please instead of getting the data from an approval action? I have 4 layers of approval and am one condition away from being finished but keep hitting that nesting limit error of 8 and I am at 9.
