Hello everyone!
It is my understanding that it is currently impossible to send emails directly from shared mailboxes though Power Automate. I saw many posts from people reporting that they couldnt get the "Send an email from a shared mailbox" action to work, and the solution revolved around settling with a workaround, that consists in using the "Send an email" action and Setting it to "send as" the shared mailbox, provided your account had the permissions required to do so.
Very well. Im fine with that.
The problem is that even though the action sends that email as the shared mailbox, the email is still generated in my personal sent box, and not in the shared email's. The flow Im building is supposed to run about 50 times per work day, each time generating an email, which means that on average, per week, im going to have around 250 emails in my sent box, all of which I didnt actually personally sent. That ammount of emails will certainly make it painful to manage the emails I actually send.
So I tried to fix this problem by adding some cleanup actions in the same flow, just after the email was sent. The plan was to identify the sent email and move it to a folder other than my sent box. I tried using the "Get email" action, but that straight up asks me for the email ID as the only way to fetch the email. Considering that the "Send email" action does not provide the sent email's ID in the dynamic content list, I figured i couldnt use that to make it happen. Moving on, I tried using the "Get emails" action, which I set up as follows:
The issue Im having is that this action is timing out after running for about 10 to 15 minutes without sucessfully fetching the solo, recently sent email:
The "Move email" action asks for the email ID and the destination folder. So I wonder: is there a way to make the "Send email" action output the ID of the email it just sent, allowing me to skip this fetching step? If not, what am I doing wrong with my "Get emails" action, and also, is there another way Im overlooking to get that sent email's ID?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much for further clarification and the link provided.
I knew this link as well but I believe the test result more. Unfortunately, I never saw such kind of error message before. I’m curious about your account type as there are several types for shared account in O365.
May I know how did you create this shared account ? Are you able to find this shared account in EAC > recipient > shared list?
If you create this account from Teams or it's actually an O365 group account. It can't be available for 'send email from shared mailbox' action in flow. We should only use the account which can be found in shared list as below.
Please pay attention to the account type as it's strictly regulated based on our official documentation.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for posting.
According to your description, you are trying to test workaround of sending emails from shared mailbox but getting stuck now.
Actually, have you tested using ‘send email from shared mailbox’ action? I tried just now and it works with no issue.
I tested with simple steps as below:
By the way, the HR is my shared mailbox.
It works perfectly. Email arrived and sent message stored in sent item of that shared mailbox.
If we can use 'send email from shared mailbox' action, I believe you can simply your flow steps. If you insist in current method, please kindly share me your flow details. Thanks in advance.
Hope the content above may help you.
Best regards,
Anna
Hi Anna (@v-duann-msft)!
Thank you for your reply!
I tried running the "Send Email from Shared Mailbox" action and this is what I got:
"Error: Group Shard is used in non-Groups URI."
When I googled that error, I came to the conclusion I originally posted (that the action was broken) by seing forums of people with the same error working around it by sending the email though the shared mailbox by using the "Send As" field from the "Send Email" action...
For example: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Using-a-Shared-Mailbox-from-a-Team-Group-Shard-er...
If I may abuse your goodwill, could you please help me with this error then, considering you somehow managed to make the action work?
Thank you!!

Hello Anna (@v-duann-msft)!
Thank you for all these insights!
You were absolutely right. The shared email I was trying to use was actually a group created on TEAMS. I wasnt the one that created it, I was just trying to have emails be sent from it. Once you set me off to investigate this, I got it converted to an actual shared mailbox, and the action started working just fine on powerautomate.
I really appreciate all your help!
Thank you so much!
