Update an Adaptive card in a chat or channel works only intermittent

Hi,

 

I was trying to build a flow to create an adaptive card in a channel and wait for response, then update the adaptive card after receiving a response.

 

The flow was made and was tested, it worked at first for a few time. Then it failed with the following message:

"The ID of the user attempting to edit the message, ID: (dynamic content) does not match the actual user ID of the original sender, ID:" with an error code "403". 

 

However, the flow does work occasionally (the adaptive card was able to be updated), but with most of the time failed.

 

No editing of the flow has been done. The flow just triggered, failed sometimes and worked sometimes.

 

I have tried to rebuilt the entire flow, but it doesnt help. Same problem reoccured.

 

Do anyone encounter the same problem as me? Can anyone help?

I am getting it too, every time. I have not had a single attempt succeed.

I get the same error. I delete the connector and do it again, same error.

If my scenario is different than your OR the same (either way, but same error message), please comment on it so the Dev team knows.

Something just dawned on me. This may not be a bug in the "Update an adaptive card in a chat or channel" action, but rather the action that sent the message that this one is trying to update. In my testing, I'm trying to update a message that was originally sent using "Post adaptive card and wait for a response" action. 

 

Is this the same as the scenario you're using? It might be that there's no user ID being set in that action.

I just tested updating a card originally posted using "Post adaptive card in a chat or channel" and the Update action worked fine.

Looks like I have the exact same issue as yours. 

This is the same scenario: update a message that was originally sent using "Post adaptive card and wait for a response" action. 

 

However in my case, this work occasionally ( like 2 out of 10 times ), it was not failing every time.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
