Use "When an event is added, updated, or deleted (V3) to synchronize two calendars, times not lining up

Hello!

I am more than a bit of a noob to this whole thing, I apologize for my ignorance in advance!

I am trying to use Power Automate to synchronize events from Shared calendars to personal Calendars. Reason being is that my organization uses shared calendars for scheduling, and Bookings seems to only look at personal calendars for some reason.

So I figure its pretty simple, right? Actiontype is equal to added - if yes - "Create event" and populate everything with its corresponding field in dynamic content.

If no, check another condition, ActionType is equal to updated
Do the same, update event and populate it with dynamic content

If no, delete event.

Only thing that wasn't populated with the dynamic content is the timezone, so I just set that to my local timezone.

Test it, and the event created by the flow is at a completely different time than the one I created! 5 hours ahead!
So I set the timezone from my local (UTC-06:00) to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-11:00).

It makes the event, same time. It then triggers again, this time as a modify, and changes the time until the copied event disappears.

Now  the fun part, its not the calendar that is created by the flow that ends up hopping off and disappearing, its the one its pulling info from!

Also if I delete an event from the calendar its pulling from, it doesn't delete the corresponding event from the old calendar. I think that might have something to do with the event ID no longer existing, but I'll figure out how to do that later.

Any advice? I am trying to figure out how to paste info from my flow here, I'll post it as a reply once I figure it out!

Alright, got it!

Here is the code from the Create, that triggered on the "Actiontype is equal to added If Yes" condition

{
    "inputs": {
        "host": {
            "connectionName": "shared_office365",
            "operationId": "V4CalendarPostItem",
            "apiId": "/providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apis/shared_office365"
        },
        "parameters": {
            "table": "AQMkAGE0YmQzNTFmLTA0MmYtNDkwZC1iOGNiLTUyYTdmMzk4ZWFmYgBGAAADX3_jFcYVkk_Ik69GZRRJmwcAkP3z9vs-Pkqew8tzrjL8KAAAAgEGAAAAkP3z9vs-Pkqew8tzrjL8KAAEW8EG_wAAAA==",
            "item/subject": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/subject']",
            "item/start": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/start']",
            "item/end": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/end']",
            "item/timeZone": "(UTC-11:00) Coordinated Universal Time-11",
            "item/requiredAttendees": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/requiredAttendees']",
            "item/optionalAttendees": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/optionalAttendees']",
            "item/resourceAttendees": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/resourceAttendees']",
            "item/body": "<p>@{triggerOutputs()?['body/body']}</p>",
            "item/location": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/location']",
            "item/importance": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/importance']",
            "item/isAllDay": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/isAllDay']",
            "item/recurrence": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/recurrence']",
            "item/recurrenceEnd": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/recurrenceEnd']",
            "item/numberOfOccurences": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/numberOfOccurences']",
            "item/reminderMinutesBeforeStart": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/reminderMinutesBeforeStart']",
            "item/isReminderOn": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/isReminderOn']",
            "item/showAs": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/showAs']",
            "item/responseRequested": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/responseRequested']",
            "item/sensitivity": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/sensitivity']"
        },
        "authentication": "@parameters('$authentication')"
    },
    "metadata": {
        "operationMetadataId": "ecb25c50-4c3b-4e82-b3ae-3f6abf525d3e"
    }
}

Thats the one thats making it completely at the wrong time, I would say I just need to fiddle with the Timezone (which has no dynamic data option) until I get the desired result. However, I think if I jacked that up, then maybe the reason Editing the event makes the flow target the original event and run over and over again moving its date/time each iteration

The code for update event is as follows:

{
    "inputs": {
        "host": {
            "connectionName": "shared_office365",
            "operationId": "V4CalendarPatchItem",
            "apiId": "/providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apis/shared_office365"
        },
        "parameters": {
            "table": "AQMkAGE0YmQzNTFmLTA0MmYtNDkwZC1iOGNiLTUyYTdmMzk4ZWFmYgBGAAADX3_jFcYVkk_Ik69GZRRJmwcAkP3z9vs-Pkqew8tzrjL8KAAAAgEGAAAAkP3z9vs-Pkqew8tzrjL8KAAEW8EG_wAAAA==",
            "id": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/id']",
            "item/subject": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/subject']",
            "item/start": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/start']",
            "item/end": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/end']",
            "item/timeZone": "(UTC-11:00) Coordinated Universal Time-11",
            "item/requiredAttendees": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/requiredAttendees']",
            "item/optionalAttendees": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/optionalAttendees']",
            "item/resourceAttendees": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/resourceAttendees']",
            "item/body": "<p>@{triggerOutputs()?['body/body']}</p>",
            "item/location": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/location']",
            "item/importance": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/importance']",
            "item/isAllDay": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/isAllDay']",
            "item/recurrence": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/recurrence']",
            "item/recurrenceEnd": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/recurrenceEnd']",
            "item/numberOfOccurences": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/numberOfOccurences']",
            "item/reminderMinutesBeforeStart": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/reminderMinutesBeforeStart']",
            "item/isReminderOn": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/isReminderOn']",
            "item/showAs": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/showAs']",
            "item/responseRequested": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/responseRequested']",
            "item/sensitivity": "@triggerOutputs()?['body/sensitivity']"
        },
        "authentication": "@parameters('$authentication')"
    },
    "metadata": {
        "operationMetadataId": "4ff4a785-8776-4055-acb9-4f080eab2201"
    }
}

Does anyone see any rookie mistakes on my part? I'm at a bit of a loss, I'm not sure why its doing that this way. I'm considering making an action *just* to pull information from the calendar and then make the Create and Update Events just pull data from that action to see if that works for some bizarre reason.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
