Using a switch to send form responses to specific emails

I have a form that requires users to identify which Council they would like their form to be routed to. I added a switch, thinking that would be the right move, but it is not working. I found a discussion about an issue if the users can select multiple options, which I had, so I reduced it to one option only, but I am still having issues. I receive a copy of my form when I submit a test form but the forms never reach any of their destinations. Below is a screen shot of the section of the form I have tied to the switch cases and the flow. I have 6 cases and all are set up the same, except for the email address. Any help would be appreciated.

I would add a Compose just before the switch so you can see exactly what the value is that you are using to switch. I've also seen a case where the case and spelling matched but the value had an additional space at the end. The solution was to do a trim on the value. Either way I would add a compose temporarily so you can be certain what the value is that you are trying to match. It has to be exact.

One of the common problems when using a switch with text is that its case sensitive. I would suggest double checking that the value you are getting from the form is exactly the same as the one you typed into the case. I normally convert everything to all lower case when using a switch to control for this kind of problem.

Since you don't say what is not working, in addition to what @Pstork1  said, be sure to use the dynamic content option of your field that contains Value after it since it is a choice field you are using. That will return the actual text value (provided you kept it to only one choice).

Thank you for the quick reply. I do have the dynamic content in the switch value field. I did not have all of the text for each case exactly as they are on the form so I corrected that but, the forms are still not being delivered to the emails provided in the cases. I am just not sure what I am doing wrong. I appreciate the help.

Thank you! I had the cases of the text right but they all have the word Council at the end and I had not included that. I added it but when I submitted another test form, the form failed to deliver to the selected Council.

 

Any other ideas? It does not appear to be a difficult setup. I thought it was a straight forward flow, especially once I removed multiple Council options.

That did it! I finally got the form delivered to all of the different destinations.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
