When an item is updated in a SharePoint list, update a file's properties in a SharePoint library (but it's not doing it)

Hello,

I have created a flow that moves a file from a SharePoint List to a SharePoint Library (When a new item is created). I did it because my users need to upload documents through PowerApps, and I could not find a way to do it directly into a SharePoint Library; that's why I'm using the list as an intermediary.

The main issue is with the second flow I built to UPDATE the file's properties based on any changes made to the list by users (When an item or file is modified). When both the list and the library were created we had an issue that made the ID's not to match. So for example, if I upload a file it will create it with ID 1 in the SP list and then with the flow "When a new item is created" the file is moved to the library with ID 2. Because of this I added a column in the Library named Original ID that brings the ID from the list. In this example, even if the file's ID in the Library is 2, in the Original ID column shows 1.

The flow "When an item or file is modified" is not making any changes submitted by users and I don't know if it's because the difference in the IDs. I have tried through a condition to match the list's ID with the library's Original ID but the result is always false.

Please see attached my flow's screenshot.

What else can I do to match the library's Original ID with the list's ID? Updating the file's properties it's imperative for our process.

If you have taken type of 'Original ID' column as single line of text, then you need to convert ID to string to compare with it. We will use expression to convert ID column type from integer to string. Pls modify the condition as shown below:

Expression needs to be entered in the expression window as highlighted in the above screenshot:

string(triggerOutputs()?['body/ID'])

Pls make the changes & retest the flow.

I did what you recommended me but still the condition result is false. The Original ID column in SharePoint is set as "Number".

I was able to fix this issue by removing the condition and adding a filter query to the Get Files (properties only). See screenshot attached.
