When using 'Apply to Each' -- How to process the 'data' object result (following the use of HTTP connector)

All, 

Below are my 'apply to each' steps.  My end goal is to flatten each returned 'data' object (as shown in the 'data operation' SELECT mapping SS below) and add a new Excel Table Row for each. 

I have searched and searched with no success for how to convert the 'body' object to an array that would allow me to process the 'data' object. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hey @brad_lubbock .

I have a really long method for this. I hope it works. 

Store the body in a variable with type object. 

Then make another variable. 

In that variable, go to expressions, just write:    variables('previous_variable_name').data.

Then you can pass the above variable in parse json action and make 3 variables to get three values id, name and description. Do, this and if it works I will tell you what to do further. I am sharing a video too, if you can understand it from it.

Hi @brad_lubbock 

I'm guessing you get an error about integer index on this value?  If you want to return the names values as a string, create a select above your existing select and create an expression to access the answers array as FROM, turn on text mode and then access the name value.

You can then join() the result of the select to form a string.  

I.e. join(body('Select'),';')

Thank you so much for your efforts to share and help others with the nuances of the Power Automate (PA) platform. I have watched many of your tutorials.

I was hoping you could point me towards a knowledgeable consultant that could provide architectural guidance for a multi-step workflow project I am working on. In essence, the project involves moving data via API from Excel to a SaaS platform (and visa versa) where PA is the middleware. I am continually running into dead ends in terms of how to handle HTML formatting tag conversions and nested API calls to build out flat tables from parent-child relationships in the SaaS platform. Does anyone come to mind?
