Where have expressions gone?

Something has changed in my tenancy to move the dynamic content to within the same pane as the action and I can no longer see where I can build a formula with expressions:

I'm clearly missing the obvious here - where are the expressions? If I start typing the expression straight into the Inputs box I don't get any of the auto-complete etc you find in the old Expressions tab of the old dynamic content window.

It appears as though you are on a device with a small screen such as a tablet.  When the screen is smaller than a specified, it appears like the screen shot you have provided.  Open the Flow designer on a device with a larger screen and all will be well.

@ScottShearerThanks. Apparently 1920x1080 on a 13" laptop isn't enough. Browser at 90% zoom fixed it. Never struck that before!

This seems like a bug that could and should be fixed. Why should the size of your screen automatically disable access to the expressions menu?

I'm using a 27" monitor with my windows side by side and had to google this to figure out why I couldn't create expressions anymore.

its takes a lot of effort to make things this confusing...the interface improved in some ways on the smaller screen, but disappearing the expressions builder is nonsense - you cant even type it in, it just treats it as a string.  you literally cant build an expression.

A Simple zoom out on your browser should do the trick or changing the resolution of the screen.

This is truly one of the dumbest design decisions I've seen, and in 30 years of working with software, that is saying something. 

I understand the need to work with multiple form factors, so sure, if you're screen is too small, you may not be able to display side by side conditions.  But this isn't that.  This is the complete removal of critical functionality because you're using your laptop, not a big monitor!  Are you kidding me??   I can't imagine the lost hours this caused, not to mention how many people gave up on Power Automate because anything you read in the metaverse about expressions can't be done on a laptop!

I know there was a similar issue when Power Automate was first launched, and we've seemed to go back into those dark times.  This shouldn't be hard to fix, and it should be a very high priority.  You can do better, MSFT!

Thanks for bringing a laugh to my Thursday I totally forgot about this bug. Par for the course. The platform is only becoming more jank.

Don't forget the extra click you now have to do each time you edit a flow, because the choice of whether to use the classic editor experience or the new one is something you must do each and every time you edit a flow. 🙄
