Work item Description Field Erased

Hi Power Mates !
As you can see in the pic, i made a flow wich calculate a WSJF in the Users STories; when you update the US.
The WJF calcul is perfect ... but , sometimes, the Flow erased the Description field.
In the printscreen , we can see the description field empty, and the WSJF update, so in this case, is it the reason the description deletion ?

If i clic in the 'html' buttton, you can see the reel content of the field, is it the cause ? how to solve this ? (see the second printscreen)

Hi @JoeALVES,

Yes, it looks like that is caused by those html tags. When I update a work item I see the description is changed as well.

1. The update work item with the html tags as input.

2. The user story where the description is removed

I think I have found a potential workaround.

3. Switch to html code and add null as an expression. This way the description field seems to be ignored in the update action.

4. As you can see the description field is ignored in the raw inputs

I got bad news ! 
It's not working, sometimes yes, sometimes no !
for my vision ,it's a real big bug on Power Automate !

Thanks for testing. Sorry to hear it does not work properly.

As a workaround did you try a PATCH request with a Send an HTTP request to Azure DevOps action with the Work Items - Update method:

Would be interesting to see how that behaves with that action instead of your Update Work item action.

i just opened a Support Ticket, i'll let you know about !
For me, we face a real BUG in Power Automated
By my side, the flow 'destroys" work items description, and i didn't ask this 😉

Ok tnx! If there's a way for me to help bump your support ticket please let me know. Will try the 'null' strategy first, if not I think I've found another workaround: getting item details first and then setting the Description explicitly to its original value. But that still makes the item history look like it was changed of course, so it's still a dirty fix.
