This flow worked for weeks now.
Suddenly something happens.
The Flow reports "Succeeded". It seems ok, but it isn't
One of the conditions returns false and the "if no" is executed. Technical is that correct
The reason why the condition returns false is, because the field "Choose a Value" is empty
When I saved the flow weeks ago the value was "Attachment Name".
It got lost and I don't know why.
I added the value more than three times and it works for a few times and unexpected the value is gone.
Is this a bug or do I do something wrong?
Kind Regards volker
Hi @vsp,
Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to check the file name from the Attachment?
Could you please tell me your complete flow configuration?
I made a test on my side and it works as expected.
Here is my flow configure, please check as below:
To troubleshooting the issue you mentioned, you could remove your flow and re-create it.
Hi,
yes I want to read the attachment name.
It works also good for a few weeks and suddenly the condition turns false and the Value "AttachmentX" is gone.
Powerautomate is losing values. This is a bug
Kind Regards volker
Hi @vsp,
Have you tried to remove the flow and re-create it again?
Or you could try to save the Attachment name into a variable firstly and append it into a condition.
Please check if this could help.
I got the same issue yesterday with my flow with about 15 to 20 conditionals.
All validations were not working because, for some reason, the value of the field was empty (same image you posted).
Today I run into the similar issue with my flow.
In two of my conditions, the previously inserted dynamic content in the first "choose a value" field are bizarrely gone. This issue is found when I notice that the Approval request is not sent to the defined approver.
The dynamic content used in the condtion are:
Last time the flow ran without this issue, and after that point I absolutely did not modify anything in the flow. This seems to happen haphazrdly and I cannot identify under what circumstance will the value be erased. Please kindly dive deeper into this issue, dear Microsoft support.
BTW, @vsp I wonder if this issue is still haunting your flow, or have you found a solution somewhere else?
Thanks,
Tim
I too have seen this happen specifically with conditions. I saw it a few times back in Feb-March 2022 but replaced the values, saved the flow and then checked the conditions again. I only ran into this twice so I chalked it up to something "glitchy" that needs to be "re-added", "reset", "resaved", etc. But I just bumped into it again today and yesterday (August 10-11, 2022). Upon searching for this on the web, I see I'm not the only one facing this issue. Recreating these flows is not a great option as they are long and complicated and I have over 50 of them. Based on the users who are contributing to this thread, this appears to be a bug. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I've only seen this happen when using "Solutions". Are those of you on this thread having issues when using Solutions?
Hi all, I just encountered the same problem. I have a Power Automate flow with several conditions applied. As soon as I add the first condition and save, it resets the values. Obviously, this leads to an error in the flow when it is run. I tried creating a copy of the flow and redoing it from scratch manually, but it didn't work. I don't know if there have been any updates, but at this point I really think it's a Microsoft bug.
