create list items from onother list

Hi ,

Could someone please help me determine the best way to create/Update a SharePoint list?

In my flow, I am creating a new SharePoint list based on the items from a source list. The source list is 

The flow is creating another list and  breaking it by daytime into daily time entries as following 

in the flow, I tried to use the select action to get the Mon to Sun values 

I was wondering if there is a way that I can loop thru the "Select 2" output and add each item to the Hours column?

just to confirm, these highlighted values are hours right ?

Also from title, we would be getting date range from source list, am i right ?

Thank you for your reply, yes, the Mon-Sun columns are hours , and the Title is the combination of the employee name and weekstart and weekend coming from power app which I could break down successfully, I just need a way to  get the hours too

Hi @Aysan 

You can try like this 

I have created a source timesheet like below format

[the 2 columns sun, bill to are present at right side which cannot be seen due to screen]

Now i have designed flow like below

Step 1:

Intialize a hours variable of object datatype

Step 2: Get items from mainlist using get items 

Step 3: loop through each item from output of get items action as per step 2

Inside the loop, set the hours variable like below

Now use another loop after set variable action like below

inside the above loop use create item in another list like below

Expression: 

split(items('Apply_to_each')?['Title'],'-')?[0]

This represents Name of employee [ I have renamed title column to employee name column in my second list]

expression used: 

formatDateTime(addDays(split(items('Apply_to_each')?['Title'],'-')?[1],items('Apply_to_each_2')),'yyyy-MM-dd')

expression: 

variables('hours')?[string(items('Apply_to_each_2'))]

Bill to is the variable taken from get item action output. 

Flow output would be like this 

Note: I haven't added anything under Billto in my first list, that's why nothing appears in project column.
