current date in dynamic content

Hello, 

I want that in the current month to also use the current dynamic content. So that “12 2023” will be used for December without me having to change the flow? Is this possible somehow? Can I connect expression with dynamic content?

Manually Trigger a Flow

Create a new flow for testing purposes. 

Convert the Current Date/Time

Whenever you use dates and times in your flow it's always good practice to use a Convert Time Zone action.

Insert an Expression.

Enter the utcNow() function and press OK. This expression will return the current date and time in UTC format.

In the Source time zone field, search for Coordinated Universal Time and select it.

In the Destination time zone field, search for your local time zone and select it.

For the Format string field, search for Round trip and select it.

Compose Your Date

Add a Compose action to your flow.

Insert an Expression.

Use the formatDateTime() function. This function will format your date and time.

Click on the Dynamic content tab.

Insert the Converted time dynamic content.

Add a comma and the date format between single quotes. In your case 'MM yyyy'. Press OK.

Run a test. Review the outputs of the Compose action.

Copy Actions from One Flow to Another

You can now click on the three dots of these actions in your test flow and select Copy to my clipboard.

Do this for both actions.

Open up your working flow. Click on My clipboard and insert the actions into your flow. Ensure that you insert the Convert time zone action first, then the Compose action.

You can now insert the output from the Compose action in your flow.
