salesforce report to sharepoint lists

I would like to use a flow to have a salesforce report poupluate a SharePoint list.  I would like the list replaced or updated if that is possible once a day.  I then want to biuld a PowerApp off of the SharePoint list which would then give access to some info from Salesforce to people who do not have Salesforce licensing.  Is this possible?  I am hoping to use one O365 E5 account that has P2 and that has a Salesforce license (we have SSO).  HELP Please

Hi @ cstack,

For you first request:

I would like to use a flow to have a salesforce report poupluate a SharePoint list.  I would like the list replaced or updated if that is possible once a day

You could create a flow as screenshots below:

 1.png2.png3.png

When there are update or create records in salesforce the day, the flow would run successfully to update or create items in sharepoint as below:

4.png

For you second request:

I then want to biuld a PowerApp off of the SharePoint list which would then give access to some info from Salesforce to people who do not have Salesforce licensing.  Is this possible?

You could refer to link below to share the PowerApp to people and give them access to some info from Salesforce

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/share-app

For you third request:

I am hoping to use one O365 E5 account that has P2 and that has a Salesforce license (we have SSO).

Does the SSO that you mentioned means “Single Sign-On”?

Where do you identify which Salesforce report is pulled into the Sharepoint list using Flow?  I followed the picture diagram and noticed where you identify the Sharepoint list but not the Salesforce report.

i'm stuck on this too. Did you figure it out?

crohmer were you able to figure out where to find "report id" ? I'm not able to locate either. When I type report in search it populates only with salesforce "report id".

Pudiste realizar ésta sincronización? hasta ahora no lo he logrado, en salesforce el ID de los objetos es normalmente los dígitos escondidos en el URL pero aún así no logro diseñar correctamente el flujo.

https://fuente/lightning/r/Report/00O1T000005BSo8UAG/view?queryScope=userFolders

ésto sería el ID: 00O1T000005BSo8 o éste 00O1T000005BSo8UAG

Espero hayas logrado realizar el flujo correctamente.

Can this now be replaced by pulling data directly from SF to the power apps, using the SF connector?

That's what I am trying to do versus creating a list to feed my power app.

I had the same issue and solved it by replicating the SF report criteria in the 'GetItem' element.

Hola, me podrías apoyar por favor compartiéndome tu flujo o con unos screenshot de cómo lograste la conexión, te agradezco.

I attempted the solutions on this thread and I was unable to exactly get what I was trying to accomplish.

My goal:  Keep my salesforce accounts in sync with a sharepoint list. This includes new entries and entries that have been updated after creation.

Flows: I created 2 flows: 1 to create new entries added into Salesforce and then create those in a sharepoint list. The 2nd flow is all about updating the entries that change on Salesforce and need to be updated in my sharepoint list.

How?

1. In my case, I had a number of accounts in Salesforce already, so I had to run an export from it and then I used a simple workflow in power automate to copy it in a list.

  • Manually triggered event
  • Get Items (Sharepoint)
  • Create Items (Sharepoint)
  • Make sure to map all the fields you care about, including the SalesfroceID

2. Once I had my baseline in place I configured 2 flows:

  • 1.Create new accounts
  • In this step I selected Accounts as my Object Type
  • Then I applied a filter query to filter on a field. In my case I filtered through a field called "type". i.e. contains(type,'Consultant')
  • jdurand80_0-1634583787035.png

This flow takes care of all new Accounts created in Salesforce. This is straight forward.

  • 2.Flow to update entries in in my Sharepoint list after those are applied in Salesforce
  • Use the Salesforce trigger when something is modified
  • Then use the Get method from the Salesforce template in actions
  • Add a "For each" action
  • Add a Get Sharepoint item action
  • In the filter query compare the SalesforceID field already in the Sharepoint list with the Account ID coming from Salesforce. This step will find the equivalent entries in order to be updated.
  • jdurand80_3-1634584302060.png

Then add another For each action

  • The ID field must match the ID field in Sharepoint in order to update the right entry. The rest of the fields should be entered here. I entered all of the ones I cared for. The only one you should not enter is the SalesforceID field as this is the only field that once created will never change.
  •

I hope this helps some folks 🙂

The breakdown of this has also improved the queuing speed and this is applied within seconds.

Gracias ! voy a probar con lo que enviaste, me ha dado más pistas para lograr mi objetivo de automatización.

is there a solution to this? I recreated the flow above and just get the metadata of my report.  What i need is something like the export of a report.

Will this flow allow us to get more than 2000 rows from Salesforce report because salesforce have a rows limit for 2000 rows for getting data from API call
