update a sharepoint excel and send it in a mail attachement

Hi all,

I want to build a flow which is supposed to :

1) when i get a mail from a precise sender and with a defined subject

2) fill an Excel sheet which is stored on a sharepoint

3) send a mail with the updated sheet in attachement.

I have 2 issues :

- the sent file is not the updated version

- the mail is sent twice.

do you know how i could solve those problems ?

I think I know why the mail is sent twice : the flow is part of a solution which exists in two environnements and the flows are active in both.

The structure is the following. the first variable gets the body of the message.

So excel file is normally updated, but flow pick an previous version of it?
Sometimes excel need couple of seconds to save 1-2 seconds and flow don't wait for that to happen.

Try to add "Delay" between "update row" and "get file" for  5 seconds and see if it would catch newest version of excel.

Hi, thanks for your answer.

i did not find the action you proposed but i found one which allows to give the time of execution.

I used the function getFutureTime with a delay of 35 seconds, 5 were not enough.

but it works now, thanks 🙂

Hi,
I have the same issue but adding a delay is not solving it.
I've tried on SharePoint and OneDrive as well wit even adding 90 seconds of delay without any positive results.
The "old" file version is send and not the updated one.
Did anyone found the solution for this problem?
