update file properties with dynamic url

I have a flow that uses a switch statement to specify the URL of a document library. 

the flow then drops a file in the library, and updates a custom field. 

This works fine if I explicitly specify the URL in the 'Update file properties' action. But If I use the dynamic URL from the switch statement I get an error - "Cannot evaluate the parameter 'dataset' at design-time; it is empty or has a runtime expression.", and I cannot see the custom field I need to update. 

Are there any workarounds?

Do you want to update file properties using Dynamic Site Address and Library Name within the "Update file properties" action?

If you want to update file properties using Dynamic Site Address and Library Name within the "Update file properties" action, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

The Site Address field and Library Name field of the "Update file properties" action could not parse Dynamic contents in Microsoft Flow currently. We could only select the Site Address and Library Name (or type custom value within Site Address field and Library Name field) through the Drop down selections currently.

I also try to upload the attachment to the correct sharepoint page based on the subject of the email.
The URL is in the subject line.

"This of course is a flaw, as I can get to the point where I can pick the Library, but not the FOLDER that was created by another flow when a different event occured.  So I would need to allow the USER to tell the flow WHICH of the new Subfolders it was saving that document in, and update the properties.  as this is really sad, I am almost done, and I find the last part is left to only STATIC FOLDERS ?? That is a major let down!"

Ok,  so for all using this, the ITEMID that is generated from the previous step (if done all at onetime is unique enough to traverse a folder! (I hope)   so in this case I was putting a file in a folder called

 MIP_Uploades/120/    I did this with the PATH but using a VARIABLE for the 120 ... 

in the UPDATE FILE PROPERTIES, I thought what the heck, just try it.  So I picked that Folder

and used the ITEMID , which comes from the previous step, and IT WORKED! 

IT found that File and updated its Fields, so the FULL PATH WAS NOT REQUIRED and iT WORKED!!

anyhow, just thought I would share that...
