Hi @TravistyNW !

Sorry it took long. I got a flow I worked on. Here it is:

NathanAlvares24_0-1718914963680.png

NathanAlvares24_1-1718914988302.png

NathanAlvares24_2-1718915001610.png

Expressions used:

1. In the condition:

NathanAlvares24_3-1718915106856.png

contains(outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/body/plainTextContent'],'-')

length(split(outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/body/plainTextContent'],'-'))

isInt(first(split(outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/body/plainTextContent'],'-')))

Group:
isInt(last(split(outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/body/plainTextContent'],'-')))

length(split(outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/body/plainTextContent'],' '))

2. In the Compose actions

NathanAlvares24_4-1718915363230.png

a.

split(outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/body/plainTextContent'],'-')

b.

first(outputs('Split_with_-_as_delimiter'))

c.

split(last(outputs('Split_with_-_as_delimiter')),' ')

d.

first(outputs('Split_with_''_''_as_delimiter'))

e.

skip(outputs('Split_with_''_''_as_delimiter'),1)

f.

join(outputs('Exclude_quantity_from_rest_of_Notes'),' ')

3. Create items

For the Yes part:

NathanAlvares24_5-1718916428679.png

For the No part:

NathanAlvares24_6-1718916450431.png

Input:

NathanAlvares24_7-1718916496144.png

Output:

NathanAlvares24_8-1718916511979.png

I just added the extra column, Part Number to keep the Part Number also separate (but I guess its not necessary).

Please do let me know if this is the requirement.

I hope this helps.

Hi @TravistyNW !

What is the output of that Initialize variable action? Is it like this as given below:

NathanAlvares24_0-1718885411476.png

And what does your SharePoint list look like? Is it like separate column for both Part Number and Quantity? Like this:

NathanAlvares24_1-1718885485105.png

I don't have that value box that you do under the type box. I am not seeing any output but yes what I am hoping for is to separate the values in the output.

This is my sharepoint list

TravistyNW_0-1718887224226.png

To be clear, I manually entered the quantity amounts in a few of those rows. it did not do it for me.

Hi @TravistyNW !

Understood. Just want to clarify one more thing, does it always come in partnumber-qty or something else?

Because I can see in that 1st column, it is not of that format except that last entry.

I'll try replicating and give you a flow to use.

in a perfect world, Yes they would send the message in that format however they usually include other text as well. a perfect set up would be part number box only contains the first part of the string before the -. Quantity only has the numbers after the -. Any text included would go to a notes column.

Thank you for your help on this!

Once I have this Flow completed, I will speak with the head of that department to normalize how they send the messages to collect the data. Something like (partnumber)-(quantity) (Notes). ex: 555555-6 need more totes

Hello! Thanks for all your help on this, for some reason, I cannot pull the dynamic content for body plain text. any idea what I may have done wrong?

TravistyNW_0-1718984776568.png

TravistyNW_1-1718985147996.png

Not sure if this will help for trouble shooting, but my Yes No is a True False and I also cannot get the dynamic content for created date time

EDIT: I have changed the name so that it no longer say's "copy" on the Get message action. I have included my error below

The input parameter(s) of action 'Split_with_''_as_delimiter' contain an invalid reference to 'Split_with_-_as_delimiter'. Correct to include a valid reference to 'Split_with_-_as_delimiter' for the input parameter(s) of action 'Split_with_''_as_delimiter'.

Error resolved: The issue was with my spacing in the names of the compose actions.

THANK YOU!

Hi @TravistyNW !

Do you not get CreatedDateTime from the "Get message details" action, like seen below:

NathanAlvares24_0-1718999249986.png

I am not sure how you also don't get the Body PlainTextContent from the "Get message details" action, like seen below:

NathanAlvares24_1-1718999403414.png

If you can check your runs, these 2 variables will appear as the output on the "Get message details" action. Here is an example of mine:

NathanAlvares24_2-1718999642920.png

In red, the first one is createddatetime, then its expression will be:

@{outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/createdDateTime']}

and the other is plaintextcontent, which is your partnumber-quantity of which you need. Its expression will be:

@{outputs('Get_message_details')?['body/body/plainTextContent']}

If you still don't get that, can you provide a screenshot of the output of your "Get message details" action. Would gladly help.

Also 1 more thing I wanted to note. You have this trigger right on top:

NathanAlvares24_3-1718999962658.png

I want you to get into the settings of this action:

NathanAlvares24_4-1719000029920.png

NathanAlvares24_5-1719000086597.png

And you see that Trigger Conditions section, click add. And enter this expression:

@equals(first(triggerOutputs()?['body/value'])?['conversationid'],'19:b1d02ee4bd5f4dc13@thread.v2')

Now this part:

NathanAlvares24_6-1719000206405.png

You can get this value from one of your run histories. Go to the output of your trigger action, "When a new chat message is added". And copy that value onto that field marked in red above, in that expression:

NathanAlvares24_7-1719000399675.png

The reason why I am telling you this is that let's say I have 2 group chats:

Test1

Test2

Now, normally if you type any text message into those 2 group chats, this flow will get triggered.

But now say I add that trigger condition, and I want only group chat, Test1 to get triggered by this flow, I just add that conservation id into that expression and Voila!!! This flow will only trigger for a specified group chat i.e. only for Test1 and not Test2.

I hope this information is of great use for you.
