Add values manually in a SharePoint choice column from Power App

Hi all 😊

I have created a power app from a SharePoint list but one of the columns must have a choice format where you have to select one of the options;

My problem is that when I want to enter data that is not in the options, I can not add the options from the power app but I have to go to my SharePoint list and add the new data from there;

Is there any option to add data in this column in power apps or I will always have to enter to Sharepoint and add it from there?

Change the update property of the data card to this:

If(
    !IsBlank(DataCardValue6.Selected),
    DataCardValue6.Selected,
    If(
        !IsBlank(DataCardValue6.SearchText),
        {
            Value: DataCardValue6.SearchText,
            '@odata.type': "#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedReference"
        },
        Blank()
    )
)

You can select from one of the available choices or you can write anything in the box and it will be added to choices. So, next time you open the form you'll find that choice there

I guess that I only have to writte this formula in the Edit Screen and it's not necessary to do it in the Detail Screen, Am I correct?

Yes. It's the edit screen form which will store this custom entry to your choice field in SharePoint

Thank you for this solution. It does what it claims to do. I would like to add multiple new choices to the choice field. How can I achieve this in power apps? My sharepoint column is already set to allow multiple values.

I'm quite unsure about  below location, my power app actually linked to a SharePoint. Should I replace my SharePoint location instead of below location?

It is not taking more than one data that is not in the options list.
