Adding a Button Control--Would not Add over a Label Control or Rectangle

Strangest problem trying to a button to a form. Don't know if this had anything to do turning off "Scales to Fit" but I could not add a button either on top of a rectangle or label. The button just went to the side and even when I click on the control name and could see the outline of the button, the button would disappear once I put the mouse on it. The same thing happened when I tried to put an Icon on the rectangle. The icon simply went to the left side of the rectangle control.

Don't understand how looking at the top menu gets me the version number.

This problem persists on other machines in other environments. Once I add a label or a rectangle to the container. The button control behaves weirdly. This has to do with a responsive design and Header, Main, and Footer containers. Definitely Not a Feature.

Yeah, the containers position controls adjacent to eachother either vertically or horizontally subject to the container type - to get around that, I selected the screen and then inserted the button outside the container, though it's strange that doesn't work for you - that's why I thought it may have been an authoring version issue.

Another workaround, which again isn't perfect is to drag the top of the main ScreenContainer1 down to make room for your label and button to be directly added/layered on the screen. This should allow you to select the screen by clicking on the canvas above the container.

This removes the responsive aspect of those controls, but this can be easily overcome with some code for relative position / sizing

Let me repeat so I understand what you are saying for two possible work around:
1) Highlight the whole screen and add the button so it won't be confined by the container. Supposedly, I could position it anywhere. I'll try.

2) In a Screen where I have a Header Container and a Main Container. Move the Main Container down and position my label between the Header Container and the Main Container. I'll try.

But what I don't get is that it works perfectly for Reza Doranni in Editable Grids in PowerApps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI6SHGQ9ATg&t=831s

Could not get it to work.

Even when I added a label to the screen and positioned the label between the Header Container and the Main Container (in the middle), it would not take a button control.

Hi @sonisick  - I just watched Reza's video and he has inserted the button exactly how I had showed you in my previous GIF i.e. he selected the screen first and then inserted the button,  which means it is not inserted inside a container. That is not a workaround and should work for you
