App Checker is preventing me from being able to edit my app

I have an app in which the only connections are three Sharepoint lists. The app has 11 screens. Every time I try to open the app, or make any edits, I have to wait upwards of 30 minutes. Sometimes I have to exit out of the app and re-enter. None of my screens have too many controls. It has come to the point  where I have to waste hours of my day trying to edit something as simple as font size within my app:

Hello @PTDIPI,

 

App checker normally runs quickly. Are you sure App checker is causing the delay? Do you have any experimental features enabled in your app? Also, it is a good idea to clear you browser cache and hard reload to see if it helps. You could also try opening a new Incognito Window and try.

I just cleared my cache and tried to re-open my app in Edit Mode. As usual, it is probably going to take about 20 minutes just to open. As far as I know there are no experimental features turned on, but I will let you know when the app finally opens:

It definitely appears to be the App Checker. Every time the App Checker wheel is spinning it means that we are unable to edit ANY element within the app. For instance even right now, my Items property of my gallery is saying "White" rather than my actual formula and I am unable to even open the Items property since the app is locked due to the App Checker running. This has been a common issue and I have seen other people run into this same problem without it ever being resolved by Microsoft. There should be a way to suspend App Checker from even running.

Hello @PTDIPI,

 

Couple more things you can check (I'm assuming you have a decent internet connection).

 

  • Do you have the same experience with a new application in the same environment? Or is this specific to this particular app?
  • What is the type of your environment (Developer, Production, Trial, or Sandbox)?
  • Do you have the latest update in your environment?

  • Does it have Dataverse data store? If so, do you have enough capacity available?

  • There are maybe two or three apps that I have this experience with and the one thing that they all have in common is that they use multiple screens. However, I am experiencing a much more extreme lag in the app I am referring to in this particular example. 
  • I am in Default environment and fully up to date
  • As far as I am aware I have enough capacity available. I have built and launched 10+ PowerApps since initially starting development on the app I am having issues with.

 

I have tried to create a copy of the app but when I attempt to create a copy via "Save As" then my browser becomes unresponsive after about 20-30 minutes. 

I also have the same problem; do we already have fix for this?

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Users must provide a solution which can be an “Accepted Solution” in the Forums in all of the communities and there are no limits to the number of “Accepted Solutions” that a member can provide for entries in this challenge, but each entry must be substantially unique and different.    Winner Selection and Prizes: At the end of each week, we will list the top ten (10) Community users which will consist of: 5 Community Members & 5 Super Users and they will advance to the final drawing. We will post each week in the News & Announcements the top 10 Solution providers.  At the end of the challenge, we will add all of the top 10 weekly names and enter them into a random drawing.  Then we will randomly select ten (10) winners (5 Community Members & 5 Super Users) from among all eligible entrants received across all weekly Entry Periods to receive the prize listed below.
