App Editing not working

This is a new one for me, hopefully somebody else in the community has had the same problem and resolved it. I have an app published and I have been editing it consitently all day on another PC. I come home and start to edit it on another computer and, the whole screen design has gone and nothing appears to be functional.

I have restored Previous Versions and again the same issue persits. It makes no difference if I try to edit on Web or in App. The more annoying thing however, is that the app will play in Browser and on mobile devices without having the same issue. Anybody with any thoughts....

This is what I see when I edit! This is what I see when I edit! This is the App Running! This is the App Running!

I recently had an issue where the App for editing would not load.  Got an error message.  this happened with an app that was buillt on an earlier version of PowerApps.  I submitted a support ticket and actually got it fixed by microsoft.  still do not know what was wrong but I think it was to do with the latest update of PowerApps to a new version.

I also just submitted a ticket based on copy and paste.  for some reason when you copy some text,  and paste it it is ok initially but when you copy another control and paste it keeps adding the it to the text field of the control

Thanks for info. I’ve tried exporting the package and importing it and that did not work either. The most annoying thing is that irrespective of which version I go back to, it has the same issue.

They either need to stabilise the Studio or have the ability to use Visual Studio or something as, every update appears to break something else.

@skmcken, thanks for reporting this issue. We investigated and identified root cause of issue. This is already resolved internally and we are preparing for doing a hotfix. Please use older version of studio available here [snipped] till we fix it. I will reply here once we have fix deployed.

And yet again with a new App. This is getting silly now.

Few questionss

  1. Have you tried a different browser? I find chrome handles PowerApps best.
  2. Have you restored from the live published version?  Every time you save it gets listed so only the live may be best to restore from in this case.
  3. In the current situation can you actuall still create formulas etc and modify the views?

I have used Edge, Chrome and IE as well as Windows Studio. They all have the same issue. I have also restored several versions all the way back to the previous day and none work.

It appears there was an update pushed out last night between when I worked on it at work and before working on it at home. I also started a new app this morning and after 2 hours of work it did the same thing.

im thinking it’s something to do with the update. I raised a ticket 8 hours ago and I’m still waiting for somebody to get back to me.

I am having the same issue...  Started on 2/17/2018...  Issue is with PowerApps Studio on Edge, Chrome, and Studio running on Windows.  I am guessing something was rolled out Friday night that has broken the Studio.  This is a complete showstopper and we are  dead in the water.

@skylitedave and they consider the Service as GA. Can not rely on this. I don't know why they are rolling out updates every couple of days. Why they are not on a standard release program like every other app they do, I just dont know.

I've had a ticket in since Saturday and still waiting for the someone to contact me. I can understand people in US and Canada being off for Family / Presidents Day however, Mindtree Limited who Microsoft use to give support on the O365 Platform are based in India.

I am escalating to people I know on the PowerApps team but have not heard back yet...  it is a holiday here for many.

I have faith in the PowerApps team.  They are doing amazing things...  hang in there..   This is a speed bump we will get past

I have faith in PowerApps Team, just not Mindtree Limited who provide Technical Support. Time Microsoft evaluated their Out Sourced Contract....
