Auto select gallery item

Hi everyone, we are building a compliance app, very similar to the Developer Compliance App in Center of Excellence. We also have a flow that works in conjunction to the app and sends out an email to admins whenever there is a status change. Our client wants for a link to be present in the email that will take the admins straight to the app details page instead of the home page. However, the details page relies on the gallery selection in the home page for all the fields to be auto-populated or even show accurate data. See below the link brings them to the details page but the drops downs are all messed up and fields are missing values. 

My question is if you know if there a way to do a auto gallery select when a user clicks on a link in an email? Or if there is a workaround to this problem. Please let me know. Thank you!

What you require can easily be done with Deep Linking in the URL link in the email and appropriate code in the app OnStart.

It can be easily achieved by Deep Link.  Pass the Gallery Selected ID(or other index column) to the app via the parameter in the link, and set the Form Items:

If(IsBlank(ParameterID),GalleryName.Selected,LookUp('TableName', ID= ParameterID))

Then the form will show the specific item when the app is opened through the link.
