excuse me if posting in the wrong place, I swear I googled like mad for a couple of days before writing this.
I have been developing a canvas power app for my company for a few months now.
It's a canvas app, layout vertical, meant to be used on a kiosk with touch screen, within Windows 10 kiosk mode.
I tested it with a Philips 21" touch screen, and a month or so ago it was working perfectly.
As everything was fine, I never checked Power Apps desktop version until now ...
A few days ago I (re)imaged the 2 PCs meant for the final production use (so even if it wasn't updated automatically I can't check working version anymore), and freshly installed Power Apps Desktop from store, actually v. 3.22073.8.0
Checked this on 3 different computers, with 2 different Windows images (one company standard, one default Microsoft fresh install), with 3 different users (one AD, one local admin, one local standard), without any deviation from issue.
Touch keyboard pops up fine on Windows, and on app opened via Edge or Chrome, but doesn't pop up when app is started within Power Apps desktop, either in Kiosk mode, or in normal user mode.
All my spider senses tell me that something got odd when this 3.22073.8.0 version was published 🙂
Anyone else having the same issue?
How do we tell devs about this?
I would go forward using Edge with app link in kiosk mode, if only Edge would cache the AD credentials for the app, and if only I could figure out how to hide the top sharepoint bar that would allow anyone to tamper with all other 365 apps of the service account ...

With the new version of PowerApps (3.22105.26.0) , this looks to have been fixed (but it'll still cover any controls in the bottom half of the screen).

Glad you found a workaround to allow you to proceed with Edge - I will mark this reply as solution to confirm that hiding the navbar and using Edge is a suitable workaround.
@marwadiaf_wipro could we please escalate this issue with the Windows Power Apps Player to the the dev team working on the new Power Apps Player for Windows - seems like the new Windows Store app version 3.22073.8.0 is potentially not detecting touchscreen input correctly on Windows devices and hence not bringing up the touch keyboard when text input is required.

thanks for replying, an incident (SR 2207220050001435) has been open by my company's admins.
About the issue, I did NOT find a solution.
I found only a very uncomfortable workaround, bare minimum to keep things going, and not without continuous care (web authentication is lost every kiosk restart or reload).

I have the same problem in Win10 Power Apps App (v3.22105.6.0). The virtual keyboard doesn't show when clicking text input. Even when setting Win10 to Tablet Mode.
In Windows itself and other apps the virtual keyboard does popup, so seems to be limited to Power Apps
On Android Power Apps app it works.
Any idea how to fix or troubleshoot this?
