Hello there! I have an application where employee's can clock in their hours.
Here I have a gallery that shows all of the hours that have been filled in. https://gyazo.com/9435779174cd33473e6ecb9db778c01f
Here is the code of the gallery:
If(
gblIsAdmin;
UrenRegistratie;
SortByColumns(
Filter(
UrenRegistratie;
Datum = Text(
Today ();
"dd/mm/yyyyy"
) And varcurrentuser = Werknemer
);
"TijdBegin"
)
)
This gallerij takes only the tickets of the day of today & where the varcurrentuser (the logged in user his fullname) is equal to Werknemer (The one that filled in a ticket, also full name).
Whenever gblIsAdmin = true, you can see all of the tickets.
I have to have a button, if you click on it, it should give you the results for the past month & also check if varcurrentuser is equal to Werknemer. I think we can use almost the same code as I have already used. How can I do this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Thank you for your explanation. I finally get it. @WarrenBelz
The way I have try to fix this;
I have added the same part of the code of the non-admin part to the admin code. I have then made another With section to get rid of the delegation error.
Here is the code:
Search(
Sort(
With(
{
UReg:
Filter(
UrenRegistratie,
Werknemer = varcurrentuser
),
URegAdmin:
UrenRegistratie
},
If(
gblIsAdmin,
SortByColumns(
Filter(
URegAdmin,
DateDiff(
DateValue(Datum),
Today(),
Days
)< vTime
),
"TijdBegin"),
SortByColumns(
Filter(
UReg,
DateDiff(
DateValue(Datum),
Today(),
Days
)< vTime
),
"TijdBegin"
)
)
), Datum & Werknemer, Descending),
TextSearchBox1.Text,
"Title",
"Status",
"Werknemer",
"CodeWerknemer",
"Uurcode",
"Bon")
Sadly it still does it not work if you are admin. What am I doing wrong?
Can the reason be that the dates in our country are formatted like this: dd/mm/yyyy and not mm/dd/yyyy ?
@Anonymous ,
You need to get down to some basic debugging here are pull this apart - does this work?
With(
{URegAdmin:UrenRegistratie},
SortByColumns(
Filter(
URegAdmin,
DateDiff(
DateValue(Datum),
Today(),
Days
)< vTime
),
"TijdBegin"
)
)
I need to remind you that the With() statement is doing nothing more than removing the delegation warning - if you have more than 2,000 records in UrenRegistratie, the second statement will only provide the first 2,000 records (the first one produces up to 2,000 records after filtering).
Before we go any further, can you please confirm the number of records in your list and also if the newest 2,000 will get what you need - if so, you would do something like this. NOTE - I have free-typed this and I am only showing you the structure, so watch commas and brackets.
Search(
Sort(
With(
{
UReg:
Filter(
UrenRegistratie,
Werknemer = varcurrentuser
),
URegAdmin:
Sort(
UrenRegistratie,
ID,
Descending
)
},
SortByColumns(
If(
gblIsAdmin,
Filter(
URegAdmin,
DateDiff(
DateValue(Datum),
Today(),
Days
)< vTime
),
Filter(
UReg,
DateDiff(
DateValue(Datum),
Today(),
Days
)< vTime
)
),
"TijdBegin"
)
),
Datum,
Descending
),
TextSearchBox1.Text,
"Title",
"Status",
"Werknemer",
"CodeWerknemer",
"Uurcode",
"Bon"
)

This has indeed fixed the problem. Thank you, once again. @WarrenBelz
The tickets are sorted like this: https://gyazo.com/96b7b449723e77dcf0b83105fe7d8e68
How can I make them sort from new to old tickets? The tickets are now sorted by the date but it doesn't seem to do the job.
22/08/2020
21/08/2020
19/09/2020
18/09/2020
@Anonymous ,
You have two sorts going on in this code - an "Inner" (first) sort TijdBegin then these are sorted by Datum.
I don't know which one is the date, however if it is Datum (which I suspect), the issue you have is that this seems to be a Text value, which it will not sort properly as (for instance 09/08/2020 is before 15/07/2020 - 09 is smaller than 15).
I cannot test this (and have never done it), but try sorting by DateValue(Datum), Descending.

Hello there @WarrenBelz
It is not working anymore. I do not know why it. I think it works on 1 pc but does not work on this one. What could be causing this to happen?
Database; https://gyazo.com/daa938eebd4227feb32a486da0e9bd68
As you can see, the varcurrentuser is also equal to "Stagiair", which is the same as in the database. https://gyazo.com/59de7bc98e58b757799cd30648911d1d
Edit: I see that Today() is giving an invalid date. Here is a screenshot; https://gyazo.com/11b3a1a07ddbb8378351e878853642f3
Why is it not working?
Full code;
Search(
Sort(
With(
{
UReg:
Filter(
UrenRegistratie,
Werknemer = varcurrentuser
),
URegAdmin:
Sort(
UrenRegistratie,
ID,
Descending
)
},
SortByColumns(
If(
gblIsAdmin,
Filter(
URegAdmin,
DateDiff(
DateValue(Datum),
Today(),
Days
)< vTime
),
Filter(
UReg,
DateDiff(
DateValue(Datum),
Today(),
Days
)< vTime
)
),
"TijdBegin"
)
),
DateValue(Datum),
Descending
),
TextSearchBox1.Text,
"Title",
"Status",
"Werknemer",
"CodeWerknemer",
"Uurcode",
"Bon"
)
@Anonymous ,
What is not working? My suggestion earlier was a workaround for your data structure design issues.
It is not filtering on the vTime. @WarrenBelz
Whenever I am admin, I just all of the tickets but if I am not an admin, I do not see my own tickets & it does not filter on vTime
@Anonymous ,
If you put a label on the screen with vTime, do you see the value you expect.
Jep @WarrenBelz
I have 3 buttons, one sets it to 1, two sets it to 8 and the third one sets it to 32
@Anonymous ,
Then it should work as vTime in your code simply refers to an integer which is a number of days. I cannot see a reason why it would not work now if it did before.
