Cannot see existing files in Sharepoint when trying to create new PowerApps app?

Hello,

I'm trying to create my first PowerApps app, using an existing Excel sheet to generate the form. I choose Sharepoint (Phone Layout), and I go and select the sub-library > Documents folder, and literally no files appear in the selection list within the wizard.  Is there any special permissions needed to allow PowerApps to see files within Sharepoint online?

Are you trying to connect your sharepoint list to your form or you want to link your sharepoint documents library to powerapps.

I'm trying to connect to an existing Excel sheet as a data source for primary data table to be used in my form (its currently stored on my 365 sharepoint > site > sub-folder > excelsheet.xlsx ).  I cant seem to get that source to be visible. I've tried moving the file to the root of the site that I want to use, and even then it doesn't appear.

I'm kind of stumped.

To be able to see your excel datasource in powerapps, you need to create a table in the excel covering the columns you have created in the excel. After this you will be able to see that table as your datasource for your power apps. Watch this video for further information (first 5min)

I have already created the required excel document and associated table, however the document itself doesn't appear as a selection option when choosing a data source.

As you can see in the two attached images, powerapp-1.png shows what I see when trying to select a source from the desired sharepoint site , and the other picture is what is shown in the actual sharepoint site document list.

To be clear, this is all done using the same user account, and it using a global admin account as a test.

Well it sucks that it doesn't already exist, but at least its already marked as planned. Just need an ETA.
