Cascading Dropdown list not returning Value into Sharepoint list

Hello!

I was working on a Cascading dropdown list Region and Cities where Region in Sharepoint is a choice column, and Cities is a Lookup column in Sharepoint list. (In Power App both are Dropdowns)

I did manage to make the Cascading dropdown list work in the form everything worked perfectly and after submitting the form, in Sharepoint i can only see the Region that i have entered in the Power app and i dont see anything in the Cities column.

Has this something to do that the column is Lookup type? So i should change the Update Formula in Power App? 

Currently i have there this formula Dropdown2.Selected

Try using below formula in Update property of lookup field - 
{Value: Dropdown2.Selected.Value, Id: LookUp(CitiesLookUpListName, Title=Dropdown2.Selected.Value).ID}
Replace Dropdown2.Value with Dropdown2.ColumnName and Title with column which contains cities in Cities list
You can check column name by clicking on the formula written in Items property of dropdown.

Hey @NandiniBhagya20 ! Many thanks for the formula 🙂  I did manage to make the formula work. But somehow its still blank not showing any cities in the Sharepoint list. 

This is the formula i recreated on power app {Value: Dropdown2.Selected.Title, Id: LookUp('CitiesList', Title=Dropdown2.Selected.Title).ID}

I would note that this Region and Cities Columns are linked to external Sharepoint list "CitiesList", where Region is single line of text and Cities are also single line of text. But the data card is linked to a Sharepoint list where we want the information to be updated/uploaded, where tie Cities column is Lookup type and Region choice type. Not sure if the external sharepoint linked to these 2 dropdowns matter or the one where are we uploading the data.

And in the external list Region column name is "Region" and Cities are "Title".

Not sure why its still not showing up ;/

Select the formula that you have written and check if you are getting expected result (a table with Value and Id details) -

hey @NandiniBhagya20 i did as you mentioned above and it started to show this error: 

Incompatible types for comparison. These types can't be compared. Text, Error.

We can't evaluate your formula because the values being compared  in the formula aren't the same type.

Try using below formula and can you please share the screenshot of the formula along with the error message -

Hey many thanks for reply, i did add the formula you posted {Value: Dropdown2.Selected.Title, ID: LookUp(CitiesList, Title=Dropdown2.Selected.Title).ID} but i changed the last item to {Value: Dropdown2.Selected.Title, ID: LookUp(CitiesList, Title=Dropdown2.Selected.Title).Title} anyways it would still show error. I thought after changing that and with no error showing up it will return a value into sharepoint list but no luck.

I did notice that its working in my other TEST list thought even when showing error, i used a slight different formula {Value: Dropdown2.Selected.Title, Id: LookUp(CitiesList, Title=Dropdown2.Selected.Title, ID)}
(({Value: Dropdown2.Selected.Title}, one difference between these two power app lists is that in the dropdown2 value selection of Cities i can choose in the list we are currently trying to fix. In the test one i cannot choose anything and i have a default value "value". In this one which we are trying to resolve i have Value "Title" and cannot choose a default value "value".

Any ideas?
