Centering an HTMLText box in the middle of a screen

Greetings:

I am developing an app for my team that I want to share although it is still a work in progress. Since much of the navigation is still incomplete I want to create a "splash page" startup screen with a large rectangular HtmlText box in the center that directs the viewer to various screens in the app. This is a temporary screen that I will remove later but it's bugging me that I can't center the text box when the app is rendered. It looks perfectly centered (using Box1.X = (Parent.Width - Self.Width)/2) in the studio's play mode but it shows way off to the left when viewed in a browser. The app is a tablet app with the default 16:9 aspect ratio.

I've done some research on this problem but all of the solutions require that I turn off the scale-to-fit option in settings. I cannot do this however since controls on my other screens (the app that I'm developing) tend to move around and overlap when viewed in the browser or play mode. So I either need:

• a way to center the box on the splash page without turning off scale-to-fit, or
• a way to prevent my controls from moving to locations that I don't want them to go (changing size and aspect ratio as they do so) without turning scale-to-fit on.

Is there way to accomplish either of these options? It would be easy to do this if the scale-to-fit setting could be applied to individual screens but it appears to be an app-wide setting.

I have my app settings liek this

do the same in tablet apps, phone apps, browser apps, in fact most of my apps look great on all three, and this is the reason for those settings. After you set the settings like that you can set all the controls to math formulas instead of static sizes, and end up with the same experience across devices. if controls in this mode ar eoverlapping when goign to a diffferent size device make their width based on say App.Width * .08 and their height to like self.width*.5, then xs of app.width-self.width-5, or 5 for a button on left and right etc.

Which aspects have your struggled with? This is the best way toaccomplish what you are looking for, as well as makign apps responsive to look like you want them to look across several device types.

otherwise I'd say you will need to do the calculation for your browser play mode width and hard code something into the x for the box like If(app.width>800, 756, app.width/2-self.width/2)
