I have a Collection that I want to display in a Gallery.
Within the Gallery I want to edit the field based on it's current value.
For example, if the value in Column1 is AAAA, I'd like to display this as BBBB.
I thought something like this could work - If(ThisItem.Column1 = "AAAA", "BBBB", ThisItem.Column1)
Is this possible? Thanks!

hey @russmca
yes this should work.
if u need a more complexe if condition use switch like this:
Switch(
ThisItem.Column1,
"AAAA", "BBBB",
"CCCC", "DDDD",
ThisItem.Column1 // Default case if no match is found
)

No Problem.
Here's another hint:
When you get the response from Power automate you can clean the output with the trim function inside of the flow.
Yes this should be possible
Thanks, that's encouraging. When I use this formula:
If(ThisItem.Column1 = "AAAA", "BBBB", ThisItem.Column1)
There is a message that says:
'This formula uses scope, which is not presently supported for evalution.'
are you inside of a nested Gallery?
What Database are you using?
Does the simple display of ThisItem.Column1 work?

Yes, it's inside a Gallery and the source is a Collection that is returned from a PowerAutomate flow.
ThisItem.Column1 is the default for the field and it works.
Thanks, that sounds promising.
Although, when I try this, I also receive the 'This formula uses scope, which is not presently supported for evalution.' message
hey @russmca
you can try this instead:
// Set this in the OnVisible property of the screen or OnSelect property of the gallery
UpdateContext({localColumn1: If(ThisItem.Column1 = "AAAA", "BBBB", ThisItem.Column1)})
Then, in your gallery item control, you can simply refer to this variable:
localColumn1

Okay is it a simple column? What I mean by that is, if there are columns inside the column a: Column1 containes Column1a; Column1b, Column1C, Column2 containes text, ....
what have you done with the collection after receiving it from Power automate? What formulas did you use on the collection.
I ask all those questions to understand the structure of the collection. Because the error says that inside your table there is another table and that it can not work with that column then.
I have entered this in the OnSelect property of the gallery
UpdateContext({localColumn1: If(ThisItem.Column1 = "AAAA", "BBBB", ThisItem.Column1)})
Can you explain how to refer to variable in the gallery item control, please?
