Collections Issue

Hi All ,

I have used a blank gallery with some inputs , whose values are stored in a collection. I want to create multiple records to add so i' using patch and collect but the drop down values are getting reflected back to 100 , i'd Like it to be set to blank.

Here are some screenshots to better understand my issue , please check the below ones to check the formula's i've used.

The dropdown contains items from a sharepoint column , the text fields are just lookup values and the other 2 are textinput fields.

Everytime i hit the "save" button , i want it to create a row(record in the collection) which is working , but the values are repeating and i'd want it to be blank or with no selection so the user can select it. Also , everytime i try to add a record using the save button , the existing values get changed to 100.

Case Scenario : I select "759" in the dropdown , and hit Save. But the gallery adds a new record while resetting both dropdown to "100".

I think the issue is in the dependencies part , check the 2nd image. I'm not sure how to solve this , gladly appreciate any help! Thanks!

Can anybody share some help? Is there any way to avoid the dependencies , I just want the drop-down column to show items from a SharePoint column.

Do you want the dropdown control in the new record to select 'none'?

Firstly, let me explain why you encounted this problem.

The key lies in the dropdown control's items property.The dropdown control cannot select the options it does not have, which means that if you want dropdown to select none, you must have none options to choose.

In addition,If the default option of the dropdown control does not exist, it selects the first option by default.This is why your dropdown control always chooses 100.

Secondly,I suggest you modify the data source of the dropdown control to solve this problem.

For example:

Add a record to the data source of the dropdown control, and set ItemName to none.

or

Set the ItemName of the first record in the data source of the dropdown control to none.

Hi ,  @v-bofeng-msft ,

I did the changes you suggested but i still face the main issue that is :

After I fill out a row , and try to save a new record  , values of both row's get reset to the default option. I'd like to only reset the new record in the collection to be reset to default.

I'd like to have the values that i select in the first row and not reset to default on addition of a new record.

Is this possible?

Please set the dropdown control‘s default property.

For example:

ThisItem.ItemName
