I have a simple app that populates hardcoded information from SharePoint when a user submits their choice.
My issue is pages with directly connected to Data Source(SharePoint lists) have no issues populating. I have a last page that has a collection of SharePoint lists, simply lists everything. I am using a ClearCollect function to create this collection, and display the items on Gallery in the Items property. Somehow, this collection or any other collection I created does not update and using and old version of SharePoint.
I had my gallery set up for wrong properties but I fixed it for this gallery. For example: It was ThisItem.ThisInfo and SharePoint list only had ThisItem.Info column so it did not populate correctly. The problem is I fixed the list but these collections just won't update.
Things I have tried:
Update Data Sources many times
Change the column names again, change them back
Create new collections with a new name
Create a new page with new gallery with new collection name
Wait 1 day to see if Collection somehow updates on my Canvas app
Delete all formulas, save the app, put the formula back
Create a dummy button that has Refresh() for all data sources in the page with Collection and Gallery
Regular Data Source connection with Gallery Collection with all data sources, data source is same

Hi @ihithard ,
Try setting this for the Items property of the gallery:
Search(
Ungroup(
Table(
{myTable: FamilyBenefits},
{myTable: FinancialBenefits},
{myTable: MedicalBenefits},
{myTable: EducationBenefits}
),
"myTable"
),
TextSearchBox1.Text,
"Title",
"Info"
)
Hi @ihithard ,
Can you please check if the Info column is populating? You can verify by placing the cursor in the formula bar and then clicking the chevron icon at the bottom to see what the formula returns:
Hi @ihithard ,
What are you exactly referring to when mentioning " Info column from my table and Image column from the other table"?
When making changes in SharePoint, don't forget to refresh the data source in Power Apps Studio:
Hi @ihithard ,
So you're saying that all four of your data sources (FamilyBenefits, FinancialBenefits, MedicalBenefits, EducationBenefits) do contain an Info and Image column? The reason I'm asking is because I didn't see a scrollbar at the bottom of your screenshot, indicating there are no more columns than the 5 that are showing in the screenshot.
HI @ihithard ,
Having a mac could indeed cause the lack of scrollbar. Can you scroll to the right to show the contents of the Info and Image column?
Hi @ihithard ,
The ClearCollect function only takes a snapshot of the contents of the list at the time you trigger the function, so it will not update automatically. For your scenario I would suggest to connect to the datasource directly like you did in the rest of your app.
Hello @BCBuizer,
Thank you so much for your reply, that seems to be the case! Do you know how I can connect all 4 of my SharePoint lists to this single gallery at the end? My research only showed me the Collection but I can use any other solution as well
Hi @ihithard ,
Can you please share your ClearCollect formula so I can have a go at making it declarative?
Absolutely! @BCBuizer
I use this formula at Screen onVisible:
ClearCollect(MyCollection, FamilyBenefits, FinancialBenefits, MedicalBenefits, EducationBenefits)
This is what I use at Gallery Items, I do have a Search Bar on top too that's the reason for the Search
Search(MyCollection, TextSearchBox1.Text,"Title","Info")
Hi @ihithard ,
Try setting this for the Items property of the gallery:
Search(
Ungroup(
Table(
{myTable: FamilyBenefits},
{myTable: FinancialBenefits},
{myTable: MedicalBenefits},
{myTable: EducationBenefits}

"myTable"
),
TextSearchBox1.Text,
"Title",
"Info"
)
Hi @BCBuizer ,
I removed the Collection and put this code, I can tell you it works but somehow the gallery items are still as it was with Collection.
Do you think this might be a SharePoint caching issue with MS possibly? My other galleries are pulling the information just fine
Hi @ihithard ,
Can you please check if the Info column is populating? You can verify by placing the cursor in the formula bar and then clicking the chevron icon at the bottom to see what the formula returns:
Hi @BCBuizer ,
Yes, all my information from my tables populate just the Info column from my table and Image column from the other table does not populate. Rest of the list are actually fine. I am also including a screenshot of my columns from the lists does not properly populate. Same list is connected to a gallery on the previous screen populate without issues
Just to give an update, last night I also changed my columns on my SharePoint list with the intentions of trying to force the app to update but it looks like the information is stuck on the app no matter what I do
