Combo-Box Selector Box (Chevron) too big after rotating screen

Hello, Guys!

I've found a strange behavior in the component Combo-Box:
1 - Taking a look at the components inside the red-circle in the picture Doubt1.jpg, we can see they're fine and properly shown.
2 - When I rotate the screen 90 degrees, it exhibits those 2 components as shown in picture Doubt2.jpg.
3 - Strangely enough, the Date Picker is properly shown while the Combo-Box is not.

 Question: I want to exhibit the Combo-Box with the same proportions as the Date Picker, how can I do that?

NOTE: I selected "scale to fit" property in Screen Advanced Setting for my App.

Hello Mr. Bhatia,

I took a snapshot of the screen in picture Doubt3.jpg, showing them. The properties X, Y and Width are functions with the following:
X = (Label_Right_Above).X

Y = (Label_Right_Above).Y + (Label_Right_Above).Height

Width = RoundUp( (Large_Text-Input_Above).Width / 2 , 0 )

Try to increase the height of your drop down. It seems as if its just the chevron that's getting big but it is probably the entire drop down. 

For testing purposes, just add a static value (50 or 100) to the height formula of the drop down. Can you also share what the current formula for height is?

The Height is not a function, it's a constant with value 40:

No, it's not the combo-box that's getting bigger. It is just the chevron:

Picture BEFORE (vertical):

Picture AFTER (horizontal):

I've changed to other values, and as I increase its Height little by little, the Chevron reaches a point that it gets more shown and less cut. It seems that the Height of the Chevron is a function of its Width. And since its Width is a function of the Combo-Box's Width, the Combo's Height does not make a difference.

I suspect that the Developer's might have implemented the Chevron Height as a function of the Width, and not as of both the Width and Height. Probably it's a bug in the component, because clearly it was supposed to have the same behavior as the Date Picker (which has the same properties and functions).

What do you think?

The reason I suspect it is not a bug is because if you add a combo box as is and adjust its width, it's chevron adjusts itself properly. 

Help me out with one more thing, in the "After" scenario, what is the actual width value of the combo box. May be I can try with a combo box of that width and see if it makes a diff.

1 - About your reply:

You're only considering Width, i'm talking about Height. The Height is not being taken into account after rotation. If you change Height it doesn't make a difference. So it is a bug.

2 - About:

The BEFORE scenario:

- Tablet on the Vertical (1024 x 768)
- Width = 352

- Height = 40

And when it is on the Horizontal (768 x 1024), I can't determine it through the tablet because I'm using "Scale to Fit" option for the Screen. And even when running the App on the Web, I can't get the value through the browser's inspector. BUT, if it's "scaling" it should probably be:

The AFTER scenario:

- Tablet on the Horizontal (768 x 1024)

- Width = 469.3

- Height = 30

I will leave it to the Microsoft folks to look at if its a bug or not, but the only reason I suspect it is not, is because when we do this manually, this "I suspect that the Developer's might have implemented the Chevron Height as a function of the Width, and not as of both the Width and Height. " doesn't stand true. 

I tried changing the values manually and it worked fine. Did you try that by any chance?

Are you running the App on a Mobile? And are you using the "Scale to Fit" Screen Setting?
