Hello Power Apps Experts,
Update Dec 9th, 2022: I have a combobox that will not display zero values from the datasource after they are saved. The zero values are available in the drop down; however, once they are saved they do not show up in the form (view mode). The combobox does save and display nonzero values.
DataSource
SP List (10K+ records)
Number field (DATADOTCOM) containing values of 0 or 1
cmbCombobox
Items: [0,1]
DefaultSelectedItems: {Value: Gallery.Selected.DATADOTCOM}
IsSearchable: False
SelectMultiple: False
DATADOTCOM_DataCard (datacard which combobox is contained)
Update: If(IsBlank(ErrorMessage80.Text), cmbDATADOTCOM.Selected.Value, Blank())
(note - the code in the Update property accounts for data validation errors. If the data is not valid, then a blank appears which causes the form to not be valid, and the user will not be able to submit).
Additional information:
InputTextHolder: "Choose 0/1"
NoSelectionText: "Choose 0/1"
How can I make the zero values show up?
Thanks for reading,
Matren
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @WarrenBelz,
I changed the combobox's DefaultSelectedItems property
from {Value: Gallery.Selected.DATADOTCOM}
to {Value: Text(Gallery.Selected.DATADOTCOM)}
and the zero is now showing up.
This is weird because the SharePoint List column is a number. I prefer that I not store text in a number field. Do you know where I could be transforming it to text?
Or is there some other issue going on?
Thanks for your help,
Matren
Hi @Matren ,
Try this
If(
IsBlank(ErrorMessage80.Text),
Value(cmbDATADOTCOM.Selected.Value),
Blank()
)
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

Hi @WarrenBelz,
Thanks for your quick response.
I placed the code you recommended in the update property and the same issue still exists. I also tried the following code unsuccessfully as I thought it was a formating issue.
Value(cmbDATADOTCOM.Selected.Value, "0")
Update - the combobox is saving zero values correctly back to SPList; however, zero values that are saved to the SharePoint list are not displaying in the combobox in PowerApps. Specifically, zero values show up in the dropdown, but don't show up as the default selection when the user first views the form in edit or view mode. (I'll update the original post).
Additional information:
InputTextHolder: "Choose 0/1"
NoSelectionText: "Choose 0/1"
Thanks,
Matren
Hi @Matren ,
Do you have a mix of Text and numbers in these fields ? If so, please consider standardising them. If a number is required for other purposes, they both should be numbers, otherwise, make them both Text.

Hi @WarrenBelz,
In this post: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Combo-box-00-01-02-not-showing-zero-once-sel...
Msft Community Support stated: "If so ,please change your field's data type to text, instead of number. If it is number type, the "0" will automatically be removed."
I'm not 100% convinced this is the reason; however, I must move on.
Continued feedback from the Power Apps community on this topic is welcome.
Cheers,
Matren
