Combobox search with barcode scanner

Hello!

I have a question... I have a barcode search, which is working not as good as I expected (seems like camera isn't strong enough and it doesn't always read the barcode).. so I need to make available a text search. I did this, and it worked, but not good enough either. So I changed my idea.

I was trying with a combobox so I can have a display when I type a part of the code. My codes are 10 digits long, and sometimes it can be 6500000123 and 1000000123, so, if I type "123" both options can show for me to pick.

But I am having some serious problems trying to capture the scanned code into the combobox. I have read and watched a few videos, but I just can't make it work. Could you please help me??

A little update

I was able to show the scanned barcode in my combobox

But.... it only recognizes the code, it doesn't filter my info

When I manually select a code, it shows me info, like the following image:

But when I scan a barcode, it doesn't

This is the code I am using

Have you considered just doing this on the Label

LookUp(
   colBase,
   Code = BarcodeScannerName.Value
).Material

The problem you have is that you actually have to "Select" an item from a Combo Box to access "Secondary" list values contained in it.

Hi Warren!

In the end, I ended up using the following formula, because  Combobox will only show me the value found in the barcode scan, but won't let me do the look up for the label and I need the label to show me the value whether I do the bar scan or a manual search, so my workaround was using an if formula to determine if the searchvalue (variable associated with the value from the barcode scan) is blank or not... if blank, take the value from the manual search in the combobox, if not, use the variable

If(SearchValue = Blank();LookUp(colBase;ComboBox2.Selected.Material=Material;Material);LookUp(colBase;Left(SearchValue;10)=Material;Material))
