I have an app that contains 2 different combo-boxes in the same form. They are "Country" ('country') and "Review Material" ('reviewMaterial'). Country allows for only one selection, while Review Material allows for multiple selections.
Fields in "Country" include: United States, Mexico, England, France, China
Fields in "Review Material" include: January, February, March, April, May, June
I would like to concatenate each item selected from "Country" with every item selected in "Review Material."
ex: If a user selects "United States" from the Country field, and "April" , "May" , and "June" from the Review Material field,
it should read the following 3 items:
United States - April
United States - May
United States - June
So here are my two questions:
1) How can I concantenate each item selected from "Country" with every item selected in "Review Material?
2) With the three outputs from my example above, how would we able able to collect them into a collection?
Thank you!

Hi@jharville1,
Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to concatenate selected items from Combo Boxes and create them into a collection?
Could you please share a bit more about the scenario?
I have a test on my side, please take a try as below.
In my scenario, I have 2 Choice column named 'Country' and 'Review Material'.
Add 2 Combo Boxes, ComboBox1 for 'Country' and another ComboBox2 for 'Review Material'.
Set the Items property of the ComboBox1 as below:
Choices(YourDataSource.Country) // ComboBox1
Set the Items property of the ComboBox2 as below:
Choices(Test1224.'Review Material') // ComboBox2
Add a collect Button and set the OnSelect property as below:
Collect(
ColCombine,
ForAll(
ComboBox2.SelectedItems,
Concatenate(
ComboBox1.Selected.Value,
"-",
Value
)
)
)
Note: Every time you select a country from the ComboBox1 and select review materials from the ComboBox2, please do remember to click the collect button to collect them into the collection.
Hope it could help you.
Best Regards,
Qi
Hi @jharville1 ,
You did not give the Items of the Combo Boxes, but I will assume they are based on a field value, so the string you are after would be
CountryComboBoxName.Selected.Country & Concat(ReviewMaterialComboBoxName.SelectedItems,'Review Material' & ",")
for the second one, add Collect(CollectionName, and a name to the start (and a bracket at the end).
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

Since I am having users fill out the form and want as friendly of a user experience as possible, instead of adding a button they have to click each time, is there a way of concatenating/collecting the selections without the button? Maybe adding the code to the 'OnStart' or another property instead of to a manual button?
I meant to say that the items in the combo-boxes were the "fields" of the combo-boxes I mentioned.
'Items' in "Country" include: United States, Mexico, England, France, China
'Items' in "Review Material" include: January, February, March, April, May, June

I meant " ...adding the code to the 'OnSuccess' of the EditForm' "
I added the code you specified to the 'OnSuccess' of my EditForm (and it achieves the same function we are aiming for). Would that prove to be an issue compared to creating a button and having the user press it each time?
Hi@harville1,
Sorry for the late reply.
Do you want to collect the Combo Box selected items to collection without clicking a button?
Combine that with your description, you add the code into the OnSuccess property of your EditForm. I have a test on my side and the issue is confirmed on my side.
The answer is yes, you surely could set my code to the OnSuccess property of your EditForm. The reason why I add a Button to collect is that I want you to collect the items continuously. I did not know that you have a form on you side.
In a word, setting my code to the OnSuccess property of your EditForm could achieve the same need that adding a button to make users press it each time.
Hope it could help.
Best Regards,
Qi
