Convert Multi-Select choice fields to checkboxes in dataverse choice column power apps

Hello Power Users,

I have a choice column("Devices") in data verse table with multi select choices. I choose this column type of "Sync with global choice" which is the recommended type synching this choices with "Device types".

Would like to have this column on power apps to convert into checkboxes instead of drop down values.

I've followed a video and is on sharepoint and couldn't relate with data verse as it is synching with Device types. so looking for some help.

Thanks for the quick response. I've tried the same as per the given link. Somehow it didn't work for me. Not sure if I'm missing anything. Submitted the form with the given instructions and selected choices on check boxes didn't update in the data verse column.

below are the sample I tried on.

My column name is "gender" and is synched with "vw_gender" choice table. (Choices are: Male, Female)

Added couple of checkboxes with labeling them "Male" and "Female".

On Check on Male check box : Collect(CollGender,{Value : "Male"});

On Check on Female check box : Collect(CollGender,{Value : "Female"});

On Uncheck, Male checkbox : Remove(CollGender,First(Filter(CollGender, Value = "Male")));

On Uncheck, Female checkbox : Remove(CollGender,First(Filter(CollGender, Value = "Female")));

Update of the data card is : CollGender

Can you share the details of the column for which you are adding the gender collection.

did you try like this for update in datacard - Concat(CollGender, Value & ", ")

I have the displayname of the column gender  and sync this choice with as "vw_gender". Labels are Male and Female.

Concat(CollGender, Value & ", ") , tried this and gave me an error saying "Expected table value".

I found something similar in the community about this. here's the solution that worked out for me.

There is something that I've stuck here. My Checkbox name is CheckBox1 inside the gallery. There are some fields that needs to be displayed based on the selected choice. For example if I select checkbox for Male, I had to display some fields.

Could you please help me with that.

Hi @KrishR ,

Checkbox in PowerApps has a Value property the gives boolean value based on its selected. If a checkbox is selected, then its value is true. [CheckBox1.Value => gives true].

Update the Visible property for the fields that you want to display only when the checkbox is selected.

Visible: CheckBox1.Value

Use gallery and then write all the checkboxes values inside that gallery.
