Copilot (preview) - first attempts

Hi All --

Late this evening I got an email letting me know I was granted access to the Power App Copilot builder. I've been looking forward to experimenting with this and dived in head-first.

First impressions with describing what I wanted and generating the Dataverse table was pretty cool. I managed to get a good approximation for what I going for. What I was mainly interested in seeing was the extent of the Copilot integration into the Power App as a natural language interface to the data.

Unfortunately, after the Power App was generated I was immediately hit with "Something went wrong. Please try again later." Screenshot below to give an idea of the problem.

I spent some time digging around Power Apps Forums, Reddit, DuckDuckGo, and YouTube, but didn't find anything clearly related. I'm curious if anyone here has seen something along these lines yet and if you have any troubleshooting suggestions.

Originally I was trying it with a Sharepoint datasource, but it was not working at all, still isn't working -  I did tried it with a dataverse source and it worked. I have not tried a large dataset yet.

Yes, I know :). Hopefully they get things sorted out soon.

Anyone reporting any changes to the amount of rows they see in copilot? So far mine still fluctuates between 17 and 18 rows are of hundreds of missing.  Would anyone in the know be able to report about why this might occur as well, or confirm its just a technical issue related to the preview?

I haven't experienced any changes in the number of rows being processed. Mine also fluctuates from 17 to 22, even though I have 120 rows in my sharepoint list. So, at this point it's not very useable and still considered testing I suppose.

I'm still only returning around 18 rows from my SharePoint List.

Creating an app with Copilot is a great feature. Performance of the in app Copilot component less so. While it does seem to be seeing my data in a Dataverse table, it seems unable to answer basic questions that a simple search would provide. The suggested questions do work but stray away from the perfect syntax and it's unable to respond. I hope this isn't the final functionality or a harbinger of other Copilot functionality.

Copilot is probably considered a Premium feature which requires a higher level license than you have assigned at the moment. You may need Power Apps Per User or Power Apps Per App full licensing. With E3 or E5 I think you can use Power Apps in the context of O365 (spreadsheets, Sharepoint etc) but some features require elevated licensing.
